i guess this is what i get for buying something before seeing if it works for me, but i think this is a great concept and has potential to be a great product, so i'm excited and willing to wait until you can get some of the kinks out. thanks for your help so far [/ QUOTE ] This is my problem. I would like to try it but I'm not going to give someone 20 bucks site unseen. |

PTS v1.03 beta is working great. I only have 3 databases activated now. I tried 10 at first and it was way too slow but this version is much faster and has a pop-up that shows the progress of how the app is processing stats for each table-very cool.
Much improved I'll mess around with it later and see if I can add more and more db's. Anyone with a smaller # of databases will find value in this imo. Any way PokerStars can be supported ? |

Hi guys,
I finally finished the development of PTS release 1.03. You can find it at www.pokertablescan.com New is this release: - Fixed freezes during database queries - Faster database access - Automated poker lobby scan Note about the automated scan: The speed of the process depends on your processor speed and on the size of your database. I have a database of about 200000 hands. For example, i scanned the whole FullTilt lobby in about 10 minutes, and i scanned all PartyPoker 1$/2$ in about 5 minutes. Of course i think there is no point in trying to scan the whole party lobby, because it would just take too much time, specially with a large database. If you are multitabling a lot, and play 10 tables at once, i agree that PTS may not help you a lot. But if you are only playing 1, 2 or 3 tables, and value table selection a lot, i think this could be very useful. I mean, i'm willing to lose 5 minutes to be able to have a scan of all the tables at my level of play before sitting at a table. Please let me know if PTS release 1.03 is working on your configuration. For those who have had problem with database configuration, i've been busy working on development and i haven't had much time to answer their questions. If you have any problem, please mail me at and i'll try to send you a debug version to try to work things out with you. bye. |

Feature request. Is there a way to implement a popup telling you if a seat has become available directly to the left of one of your fish? Also if possible be able to open that table and seat me there if I tell the program I want that seat. If you program could do this I would gladly pay triple what you are asking for it. Great program BTW.

while the scanning is 'active' does it continue to monitor all tables on the list. Or if i scanned a table 8 miutes ago is that data 8 minutes old?

Very nice! I've registered and it works fine for me. I'm gonna be using this a lot I think.
If you are going to continue working on this and improving it, I think the previous two posters ideas were good: * Be able to keep scanning and updating the tables continously in the background. * If possible, be able to open up a table/join waitlist by clicking it in PTS. Maybe automatically join waitlists of the table with fish on them? Thanks for a nice program! |

Yes i'm still working on the program to improve it, but right now i'm trying to fix what is not working perfectly so you will have to wait for additionnal features... ![]() Right now what does not work perfectly is: - some problem with the names of the database. Actually the database names displayed by PokerTracker may differ from the Datasources names used by ODBC to access the database. That's why some of you didn't recognize their database names in PTS. This is fixed and will be available in next release 1.04 - Slow database access. Right now PTS seems to be much slower than PokerAce for example. PTS works fine with small and medium databases, but some user with very large database just can't use it because it is too slow. I'm working on optimizing the database access right now, and there is no reason i couldn't have database access as fast as other programs. I hope it will be fixed soon. This will also be in release 1.04. Concerning the addtionnal features, i want to be clear: PTS is not and will never be a software that can monitor and scan all the tables of the lobby while you are playing. There is a simple reason for that : for example, in PartyPoker, for the player list to be displayed AND updated in the lobby, the table has to be selected in the table window, and the poker lobby window has to be active. So you cannot play and scan at the same time, because the poker lobby window would come in the foreground every 2 seconds... When i thought about this program, i really wanted to make a software that can help me select a table, and then play at the table. So for me, a poker session is more like: * 5 minutes spent to select 2 or 3 tables with PTS * 55 minutes of play * 5 minutes to check if a better table is available with PTS. Eventually change tables * 55 minutes of play * etc... I agree that PTS may not be very useful for players who multitable a lot... Another thing is i really don't want to make PTS a "bot", that opens table and reserves empty seats, because i don't want it to be banned by Party or other sites. As i say in my site, i think PTS does nothing that somebody could not do with a pen, some paper and some time. I want to keep PTS that way, and the "automatic scan process" i implemented in the last release is the only automated thing i'm willing to add. However i'm opened to your suggestions... Thanks Regards Fabien ( PTS support ) |
