[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Because it's not in their best interests even if they wanted to. [/ QUOTE ] Nor would nuking Israel be. [/ QUOTE ] That depends on what one believes. Ahmadinejad, regarding a passenger plane that crashed in Teheran: "What is important is that they have shown the way to martyrdom which we must follow." Ahmadinejad: "We must prepare ourselves to rule the world and the only way to do that is to put forth views on the basis of the Expectation of the Return (of the Mahdi)" Ahmadinejad: "If we work on the basis of the Expectation of the Return [of the Mahdi], all the affairs of our nation will be streamlined and the administration of the country will become easier." So if one believes that hastening the Return of the Mahdi (in the last days) will be beneficial to Iran and to Muslims (and it is so considered by Shi'ite doctrine that it will be VERY beneficial when it transpires), then Iran nuking Israel might easily be considered to have highly positive expectation, as it will hasten the return of the hidden 12th Imam who, after Apocalyptic war, will usher in a reign of Islamic rule and Islamic justice over all the world leading to an era of universal peace on Earth. Thanks for reading. |
