pls consult a doctor of some kind. I'm not a doctor, but it's not hard to imagine him destroying his innards, developing a bad allergy or dying from this. that's 35 POUNDS of food in a day. AND ITS STRAIGHT ACID. Like i said, i'm no doc but obv. sounding problems could be stomach ulcers or worse damage to the lining of the stomach ditto for intestines ditto for throat mouth raw and injured enamel fckked posoined (anything is posionous in mass amounts. you can die from water posioning, it's happened to people who competed in 'hold your pee' contests) digestive system doesn't function properly bc of mass forced vomiting lemon rinds might cause damage so much crap. yeah is somebody a doctor? will this kid die? [/ QUOTE ] I'm not a doctor, but I am a med student. I asked some upperclass med students, because I don't really know enough to give any sort of opinion on this. The major concern was, over and over, the effect this is going to have on his teeth. There is pretty much going to be lifelong, permanent damage to his mouth and teeth, and possibly very serious damage. Is it worth losing teeth? I also mentioned earlier and you mentioned here the chance of developing a fruit allergy. This is how adults develop food allergies later in life, by eating to excess certain foods. Is it worth never eating an orange, lime or lemon again? There wasn't a consensus on what exactly this is going to do to his stomach lining and digestive system. The pH of lemons is pretty low, like 2.2 or something, which is similar to the pH of stomach contents. But he could drink a bunch of water and dilute this a bit, which would limit the negative effects. Obviously, puking 10 times or so in a day isn't going to be good and can cause esophageal tears and dehydration, plus possibly weaken his esophageal sphincter, leading to gastric reflux. They were less certain of this causing ulcers or some type of metabolic acidosis, something that would be immediately life-threatening. But still, all in all, this seems like a really bad idea. |

why don't you just throw uncut lemons at him from 30ft and if he dodges all of them he wins?

There is no way you dont win this bet. Lay him 100-1. I think he would have an easier time shoving 100 lemons up his ass... probably less physical harm that way too...

Please make sure to thoroughly wash the skins with hot water before he eats them. Otherwise, if you've bought the wrong ones, he will poison himself to death with pesticides.

I'm totally starting a band named DEATH BY LEMON.
And for the record, OP, we are officially advising against this. I hope that's enough to not hold 2p2 accountable. |
