Shopping (clothes, books, whatever). My friends have been giving me a hard time about this lately, but I thought it was pretty standard, no?

[/ QUOTE ]
My wife gives me grief for this also, but I much prefer clothes shopping alone. I don't want to have to explain why I want a piece of clothing and I really don't want anyone else's opinion. And I never get the right amount of time. Sometimes, she rushes me. Other times, she keeps saying no to certain items and forces me to go to different stores.

And it's even worse when she's the one looking for clothes. I usually end up just playing around with my daughter for a couple of hours while she's shopping at the mall (it would be a lot easier if she just left me and the daughter at home, but we wouldn't be doing it "as a family.")

Travelling alone is a must-do for me. It's so hard to find a good travelling companion. A lot of the things already mentioned I agree with. I also enjoy going on walks up here in the mountains alone, especially in Autumn. There are little huts up here that are brilliant. You rock up and there is a place to sleep, blankets, a wood stove etc. In October I'll have them all to myself and I often go away for three days staying in a different hut each night. Cue the cigars, red wine and watching sunsets at 3500 meters in the Alps, and you have a serious battery recharge moment.

I always wear headphones AND read AND write in a notebook when I'm eating just so people leave me alone.

edit: actually, I do that when I'm not eating, too

[/ QUOTE ]
What do you write in your notebook? Or is it just for show?

Summer, I like to partei with people but on winters/fall I enjoy just chilling and sippin' on cognac or vodka. I don't know why, that's just how I roll.

Didn't know this was something people regularly did with a group.

One of my biggest things is eating burritos alone. I have a real hard time eating them, I don't know why, I have bad technique and they always come apart, so I end up just stuffing them down, lol...So I like to be alone for that because I'm sure its disgusting.

Sure, you can bring the wife or family. I'll never do that, I don't want my wife to get dollar signs in her eyes. Some things are not to be shared
