If Mike is trying to get into a serious relationship with this girl you can't let that happen. She will do it again with Jack1 Jack2 or Jack35 and Mike will probably be destroyed. So this is your judgment call. If Mike has the mentality that he wants to keep this girl then you have to help your naive friend out. I know guys who will believe girls are good just because they want a good girl in their life, despite evidence that the girl is just another whore.

My vote is, don't let Mike invest much time / money / emotions in this chick. You don't necessarily have to tell Mike that Jack banged her again, in the bathroom, while she was dating Mike...

If you were all friends beforehand, why does everyone need to go to the mat about this?

Jack banged Jill first, then Mike did, then Jack had another turn. Maybe Jill likes banging both of them. It's pretty clear she doesn't want to bang only Mike. If Mike likes banging her, he can keep doing it, just share her with the other guys. No reason to lose 1, maybe 2 friendships over this. It doesn't sound like she was going to marry him otherwise.

But to answer the question, I think it's on Jack to tell Mike what time it is. If Mike starts making noises like he's going to propose and thinks Jill is Polly Purecunt, then someone should tell him the truth. Otherwise, it's on Jack right now.

I'm reading some posts and I think that if action is necessary at all, the correct action is to confront Jill as suggested by earlier posters. It depends on the kind of guy Mike is though, if Mike is a 3 girlfriends a month kind of guy just let it go. If Mike is a 1 girlfriend every 3 years kind of guy and he wants to marry every girlfriend he has, then you gotta take action as a friend.

wow, my friends just dealt with soemthing similar, so let me break it down.

mike will find out. he will. it's going to happen. he will also find out you knew. and even if he doesn't, he'll assume you did, and he'll be right, cause in these situations, everyone knows but the guy it's happening to.

so when he comes to these truths, do you really want to be the friend that didn't have the balls to say something? you'll forever be associated as sticking up for your other douchebag friend, jack. you'll be viewed as being in his camp, as this will inevitably split your group of friends.

That would be an interesting twist, eh? Suggesting that Jack is trying to cause trouble even if he didn't do it. And Jill will deny it either way, so no way to tell what really happens.

That sounds like a vote for Tell Jill to tell Mike. If she doesn't deny it then, then clearly it happened.

...and I dunno, it's possible, sure, that he didn't do it, but it seems like the established formula is that drinking with an ex leads to sex. "nothing happened" is pretty hard to believe.
