The last I heard on Andrews he was getting better, but they were holding him out of practice and what not. They haven't said anything about it being a serious, long-term issue, afaik.

"Andrews, who expressed his emotion Wednesday about news that his sprained ankle would keep him out for some time, is another concern for the coaching staff. Reid is not too worried, however, and expects Andrews to return relatively soon.

'There's nobody who wants to be out there more than Shawn,' Reid said. 'He's frustrated, but the main thing, and really the only thing I care about, is that he's getting better, and that he's doing. … I believe he will be ready (for the season opener).'"

I'm sure its just a sprained ankle, just pointing out that those quotes are probably why there are rumors it is more serious.

The question with Andrews is intriguing because as we know, all injury reports go through Andy Reid. He's saying the injury isn't that serious and he'll be back for Week 1.

But when you question Shaun, he makes it seem likes it a more serious injury and one thats recurring. Andy also gets pissed when the media points this out, that the player says the injury is worse than the coach makes it out to be.

Donovan looked like the old McNabb tonight. I was especially encouraged at his movement around and out of the pocket.

Overall, first team on both sides of the ball looked a lot more like the team I was hoping for and expecting this year than the Monday night debacle.

Unfortunately I'm not in Atlanta for school and could not watch the game. Hopefully I'll be able to catch on the NFL Network at some point.

For those who watched the game, what were your opinions?

Just about everything I've read so far was positive. Sounds like McNabb looked like his old self (only with the addition of a nice knee accessory), Celek again looked good, Curtis played well, Abiamiri had a solid game, Sav punted and held well...

Anyone disagree? Also I'm interested in how Bunkley, Gocong, Spikes and Gaddis looked?


On the Andrews front, I've heard some very encouraging and very disturbing news. Some sources say he is likely done for the year, while others are saying he will almost definitely be ready by the opener. Our offensive line has not played well without him, so losing Shawn would put a big damper on the season. Only injuries to McNabb, Westbrook, Dawk, and Lito would worry me more. Ick I hope he's okay.

Coaching staff very high on Bunk, Celek is a pimp, McNabb looks better than Peyton, Gaddis is allright, Andrews will start the opener, why listen to a random doctor who's never even seen the guy?
