The best I can find to junk my car is a shop that says they'll give me mail me 50 bucks when I mail them the title. I got my bar picked out for the night, I'll tell everyone at Ray's what's up for you guys. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

As for the friend that doesn't want to drive tonight I don't know. My parents are supremely pissed off and I was pretty pissed and tried multiple times to talk to my buddies about it. The one I'm staying with said it would be a huge favor or whatever for him to not have to come tonight because he might not be able to get to work in time in the morning and he's kind of on thin ice or something so whatever. I don't want him to get fired. He said he called me because the one that left me here told him to call me and tell him he wasn't coming tonight. After a bit of telling the one buddy I'm staying when I get to Vegas with how pissed I was and asking why the one that I was driving with originally couldn't come back out here he just said he didn't want to and he'd come tomorrow he put the friend that didn't want to drive on the phone. He said something like 'dude what's the big deal, why can't you stay there tonight, Tom (guy who I'll be living with, not the one I was driving out with) said he'll pay for your room and the van if you just sleep there tonight.' I said I didn't want to stay because its another like 20 hours in a town where I can't do anything and that I didn't like all my worldly posessions sitting in a truck a mile and a half from where I'm sleeping. He said something like 'whatever' or 'askfafa;fda dude' I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was like 2 words and then handed the phone back to the friend that has to work in the morning. So I never really got to talk to him about it and I don't think he sees anything wrong with me having to sit here while they hang out in Vegas for the night.

I'm pretty pissed about the whole thing but how pissed can I really be? Its my car that blew up and whatnot, maybe he didn't understand that we were driving out together just in case something like this happened the other could help out but whatever, not much I can do when he refuses to come tonight and says he'll come in the morning. I guess I should at least be grateful he's coming at all. Kind of curuios how you guys see it, I've seen a few posts about him sucking and I've tried to stay away from it, but I'd like to know if I'm being too expectant asking him to come tonight rather than sit in Vegas.

I guess it would be different if I hadn't found out that he stopped at a hotel down the road and didn't keep going to Vegas last night and that at some point after leaving me decided his lizard would be just fine. I'd probably still be pretty mad that he isn't coming tonight though but who knows. Nothing I can do about it with me here and him 400 miles away having fun.

I hope that didn't get too confusing with the 2 friends and who's who. Kind of curious to see if the roommate that I was driving with originally will post here, he's a regular on 2+2.

Your friend is weak and frail. He is going to have plenty of nights in Vegas to have fun. He should pick you up now and save you some time and money.

I probably wouldn't mention anything to your "friend" who is coming back to pick you up in the morning, because, well, you don't want to piss him off and he won't come. Then you'll really be screwed.

But it seems that he isn't really a close friend. If a good friend of mine needed me to pick him up immediately, I'd be there because that's what friends do.

After tomorrow, this friend isn't really one.

I can't believe he picked the lizard over you. LOL. And then stops at a hotel relatively nearby? What a douchebag. Hopefully you'll be in a position to pay him back one day. When he asks for a favor tell him to go piss up a rope.

The one time I went through Green River, it didn't seem like much. I bathed in the river, having not bathed for several days, and met a couple with a toddler named Artimus, who proudly told me they named him after the drummer in Lynyrd Skynyrd. They kept Artimus busy by handing him whole tomatoes, which he liked to eat like an apple.
