I wanna see somebody do 3 chipotle burritos in 15 minutes.

Pretty sure my brother or one of his friends tried this. Didn't finish, ended up puking all over chipotle table and getting kicked out.

Every time I see these chipotle bets thrown around I get really upset that I've never been able to eat at one, and the nearest one is like 300 miles away. Will someone freeze some and ship it to me?

Also, I'm very open to take on most drinking bets that people want to throw around.

I have a bet me and my cousin might do.

We play 2 rounds of golf back to back. He has to walk and carry a full set of clubs and I'm in a cart only allowed to play with 3 clubs(of my choosing before we start). I also pick the golf course.

I usually play lower 90s and he's more like upper 90s.
He's offering 2 to 1 on the bet.

Pretty sure it's a bad bet to take for me but this sounds pretty fun and I feel like gambling.

Couple of questions about the bet...
What 3 clubs should I use?
First thing that came to mind for me was: 7iron, PW and putter.

What golf course? Should I go for a very hard couse to walk with a bunch of hills or should I try to find a shorter course that doesn't play the driver a lot?

I'd go 5 iron, 9 iron, putter.

I agree with 5/9/Putter, and I'd think a short, hilly course would be ideal *unless* there's a course on which you feel you have a big "local knowledge" advantage over your cousin.

how are you handicapping the benefit of taking a cart? at most courses, I would just assume walk as it helps me get in a groove, judge distances, etc.

the exception would be newer courses that are made for carts - those with 150 yards between lots of holes for instance. on those courses it would be a big disadvantage to walk.

I'd take a 3W, 7i and SW. Although most people don't believe it, your 3W goes nearly as far as your 1W. You can putt with the blade of your 7i or SW, whichever has a flatter sole. It's not nearly as hard as you think it is. Just practice it for like 5 minutes before the round.

I often play with a "Sunday bag" in which I carry only about 5-6 clubs. At your skill level (mine is similar), you'll be surprised at how little your game is affected by having half of your clubs missing. For mid/high handicappers, our iron distances are so inconsistent that we are kidding ourselves to think that we really NEED the 6i instead of the 5i. In some cases, it simplifies your decision-making to the point that you'll stop trying to get cute and just hit the shot. Plus, you'll get very comfortable hitting shots with your SW (or whatever your shortest club is) and by the end of the round you should be very confident with it.

Take the bet. Choose a hilly course with long walks between holes. You'll do well.

What is the line on not shaving or getting a haircut for 2,3, or 5 years?

What about walking or running from Las Vegas to LA?

I would be willing to take both bets for the right price.

nick - please ask your boy DB if he has any interest in the bench press/bodyweight bet.

I bet my roommate $250-$20 that he couldn't eat just celery for a week. The bet came about while I was making a drink in the kitchen. He walked in and there was some celery on the counter. It went like this.

Him: Man I love celery, I could eat it every day.
Me: I bet you couldn't eat just celery for a week.
Him: How much you wanna bet?

We worked out the details and we were all set for a celery and beer diet, but then he balked at $250-25, so I threw in basic fruit juices and a 24 hour opt out period and knocked $5 of his price.

I was 95% certain that it would end at 24 hours, but really wanted him to try it. I know a juice diet is possible to live on for a week, but knowing my roommate I felt like I still had a large edge given the small chance it didn't end during the opt out period.

His girlfriend kept trying to interfere with us booking the bet, but he took it. He did end up opting out after 23 hours do to the celery diet wreaking havoc on his digestive system.

His co-workers got a kick out of him eating celery all day at work. I forget exactly what I had for dinner that night, but it was delicious and we happened to be having a bunch of friends over for dinner. When he made it through dinner without caving I was a little worried I gave him too good of odds on the bet.

wadea,

I was conflicted as to if I should include a putter in my first post regarding the golf bet. My old golf coach used to tag along and play with us if a person was sick and all he'd play with was a 5 iron. He could putt just fine with it, and somehow managed to always still shoot ~40 with only a five iron.
