The OP has previously tried to organize a labor union for poker players, so I'm sure you will have his support.

Either make rakeback completely above board or eliminate it...

[/ QUOTE ]

I could live with this as well. Too many players (and affiliates) are doing subvertive things and jumping through hoops in order to receive rakeback. However, I heavily lean towards making it above board.

[/ QUOTE ]
Lean towards?

If you're even a poker player (I hope you are), how could you NOT be 1000000% in favor of rakeback?????

I personally use Firepay coz its cheaper

[/ QUOTE ]

my transaction to and from the poker-sites from neteller are free.
Is Firepay cheaper than free?

[/ QUOTE ]

Firepay only charges a flat rate of $3.99 for transfers from your bank account to your Firepay account. All other transactions are free e.g. to and from Pokersites, to your bank account from Firepay. At the time when I checked (a few years ago so i can't remember the exact details) Neteller was % based fees.

Do you understand why airline fares are so unbelievably complicated? Ever asked yourself what purpose this serves? Why even the occasional upstart airline that simplifies pricing gradually makes it complicated again?

If you don't like to fly we could talk about pricing for wireless phone service instead .

Rakeback (known as "discounting" in other industries) exists in its current muddled state for a very good reason. Online poker rooms want it that way.

[/ QUOTE ]

The big difference between airline ticket pricing and rakeback is that if you miss a good airline ticket deal, you aren't forced to always miss out on this good deal. If you join a site without rakeback, you are not allowed to get the better deal even after you find it.

2) Transfer the money to your "real" account.

[/ QUOTE ]

I assume you mean between pokersite account e.g. from one PP account to another PP account? The only time i've tried this was when my ex-gf won a MTT on UB and didn't wanna wait for a check or bother to open a Firepay account. (she rarely played, and i usually gave her small amounts of money to play with). Anyway UB wouldn't let me cashout on her behalf without showing proof that we were living together etc. because they said they weren't a banking institution so could allow players to transfer money for any purposes other than putting the money in play.

I've been using neteller since mid-2003.

They charge a certain percentage on transactions...which is usually picked-up by the poker-site. For our intents and purposes these transactions are (and always have been) free.

I have never had to pay for a neteller transaction to or from a poker-site.
