BTW, George Bush was a legacy at Yale and Andover, never would have gotten in competively. Father could have.

Pretty much every mtt player that has a ton of success in any short period of time knows that they are just running well, except me, because I am always running bad.

Shannon,
I may have misunderstood the following from your blog:

"One thing that continues to disturb me is guys like Dmitri Noble. It never fails that the worst players are the ones who can't stop talking and celebrating at the table. I know George Danzer (the young German) at the feature table fairly well, and Noble dropped a devastating beat on him and went absolutely nuts like a retard. Also, Humberto Brenes. Jesus. You think a guy who's been playing 40 years would be humbled at some point."

I "read" that your comment "It never fails that the worst players are the ones who can't stop talking and celebrating at the table." was including Humberto.

You seem like a nice person, my point was really simple: Some of the people who have had big success early on would be well served to learn a little bit about variance, money management, and humility. Alex seems to be someone who is handling all of his early success very well.

That's all. I have enjoyed your blog and I wish you continued success.

I'm still waiting for Shannon Shorr's strategy guide to Chinese Poker to come out.

I say "I bet all my chips". I can't wait for it to catch on.

I say this too sometimes, I believe I heard Ted Forrest say it on a tv broadcast and thought it sounded funny.

I like to say, "I opt to wager the maximum allowed pursuant to the rules established for the game of Texas Hold 'em with unlimited betting." It makes me look like the complete tool that I am.
