I watched the whole thing, I don't remember a third base coach being in the shoe.

That's ok, I don't remember any footwear at all.

I love the "Supernatural meets Surfing" dichotomy. I can't wait to see where this show goes. Very well conceived and produced. Why does HBO make it seem so easy when it's so hard for every other network?

[/ QUOTE ]

Most other networks are pretty limited in what they can do.

I just watched Episode #2 and I think this show is really awesome. The material is very spiritual but not from a religious standpoint.

Red Board Productions has done just this and Deadwood?

Is John a God or alien?

Besides the obvious limitations on nudity, language and violence, and the need to show real results in ratings on the broadcast networks, the networks must consider what sponsors will feel comfortable having their products promoted on.

[I could go into a rant here about the dumbing down of network television (DEAL OR NO DEAL?) and the influence of the Christian Right and other interest groups on network television and its sponsors, but that would be too easy.]

Was just about to post this myself. Also, great call on the Chauncy Gardner angle.

After the first episode, I'm interested, but need to see a few more. I'm not totally sold on it yet, but I have high hopes.

I saw Ellsworth week 1, and Charlie Utter and Jack McCall/Hearst's advance man who hung himself in promos as well.

Any chance Keith Carradine shows up on this thing?
