Seattle drafts Durant. Kobe for Durant straight up. Durant wins NBA title. Durant just wins.

(FTW, Durant = Vince Young or David Eckstein or mini-Ditka they are Gods on Earth)

Kobe for Marion + Barbosa + James Jones + Suns 2007 1st round picks

[/ QUOTE ]
This seems good in terms of value, but I don't think Phoenix is looking to add another huge long-term deal (even though they're getting rid of Marion's). It seems like most of the potential deals would involve them cutting salary (or not tying tons of it up in one guy) in order to avoid the luxury tax. If it's equal in terms of salaries, I think they'd rather stick with the core they have and add to it instead of adding Kobe.

Kobe will have to really convince the Lakers that he won't step on the court for them again for them to actually move him. He's brings in way too many fans to move him. I don't think they care if he's pissed off, as long as he puts on the uniform and plays.

The problem with that is you have to have the salaries match up (within like 10% or something like that) So Seatlle would have to give up nearly 18 mil in salaries which may work out perfectly. If Seattle has a couple crappy overpaid players that contracts expire at the end of next year then that would be welcomed by the Lakers(or I assume they'd love expiring contracts).

If I was a Jazz fan I'd say that would be great. If I was Buss it would take all that, a get out of jail free card for a pending DUI, and holding naked pics with farm animals before he would do it.

I heard (I have no clue) that AK47's contract is terrible. Doesn't he also have some bad back issues?

Apparently kobe was just on the radio saying that he doesn't want to leave LA now.

Yeah, fully possible. Since he has the no-trade, he can dictate where he goes, and he'd probably agree to go to the Suns. They're one of the few teams that can actually put together a legit offer.

As for the Knicks, I spent 10 minutes looking at their roster and salaries, and I couldn't even think of a potential deal that the Lakers wouldn't burst out laughing at. Maybe I'm missing something:
NYK Salaries
