Let them know how you ran into the last car that was parked there. Then tell them the police said you didn't have to pay for the damages.

Easiest method ever:

1) Talk to neighbors about the situation, if they do move it to a different spot.

2) If they're being jerks about it, snitch to the cops and they ticket

3) If they still refuse to move on, have your wife get into another "accident".

Its messed up that the neighbor's driveway is like parallel to their garage. I like its time for real pics before we can make a sound decision.

No, that's what it looks like. The driveway is for the other residents of the apartment building, there are at least four apartments. I imagine that some units come with covered parking, some with uncovered spaces. There is no driveway between the single-car parking garages and the street, they're literally up against the street and open directly onto the street.

EDIT: I should also add that the scale of neighbor's car-to-street looks very accurate. Even with cars parked legally, two cars cannot pass at the same time.

You could always burn the fourplex to the ground if talking doesn't work.

If you want to avoid confrontation, teach your wife how to back into a parking spot well. It looks like it should solve your problem based on your diagram, especially if the car is usually only there when she's leaving and not parking. It's something that she should prob wanna know how to do anyway. Backing in is almost always the optimal way to park anywhere, even more so if you have a larger vehicle like a truck or SUV.

If that won't solve things for some reason, I wouldn't feel bad about leaving a polite note on their car or talking to them about it. You can't really get pissed or give dirty looks though if you've never talked to them about it. They probably have no idea it sucks for your wife.

Just simply talk to the neighbor. Don't be too serious about it. It doesn't have to be illegal for you to bring up the inconvenience. If he's cool and you're cool, this won't be any sort of a problem, and hopefully you'll get to know your neighbor a little.

By-Tor: don't get your panties in a bunch because you're a little busy at work. I usually like your straight-forward talk, but you're being ridiculous in this thread.
