I don't read this forum much. Could someone link to a thread or articles on other sites with a good debate of universal health care vs. free market system?

This was an eye-opener for me:

It will be interesting to see what else Moore dishes out in Sicko. Sure to be entertaining either way.

There are two problems with this plan, at least for me. I felt I needed to investigate MM's 'Bowling For Columbine' and to this day I regret enriching him even a cent. I also felt dirty leaving the theatre.

Enjoy!

I think MM is a genius tbh.

The only things that I liked about his stuff were his reading of the "Patriot Act" and his suggesting of force baptizing with a garden hose though.

Wow. God forbid we try to save the world, though I don't self-pimp...you use nice, big words, and yet you know not what you speak. you call Mr. Moore a propagandist, but what the hell do you consider that goddam idiot in the oval office? you say he "used" 9/11 rescue workers; I say he interviewed them. maybe you don't like Mr. Moore; maybe you disagree with his politics; maybe (ok, for sure) he's fat-faced; but he absolutely is not dimwitted, unlike our wonderful so-called president, whos only mission seems to be to destroy whatever good will the world felt for our country immediately after 9/11...

I think the health care system would need more state intervention.

[/ QUOTE ]
And why is that?

America's health care system sucks.
America's justice system sucks.
America's prison system sucks.
America's foreign policy sucks.
America's uber-patriotism and religiousness suck.

America's TV shows and movies are great.
America's sports are great.

I'm a liberal. I don't believe in God. Am I a communist?

Next time you throw a party I'm going to come over and constantly complain, as loudly as I can, to as many people as I can.

The music sucks
The food sucks
There aren't enough hot girls
The temperature is wrong
You didn't invite my other friends
There aren't enough chairs

Wouldn't one of the first thoughts you have be "Why doesn't he just leave?"

(I know this analogy is somewhat off because you were born in America, probably, and didn't just show up, and also being able to actively change the political landscape is a right, but you get the point)

[/ QUOTE ]
What was the point?

Isn't Cuba known for their good doctors?

[/ QUOTE ]
