I think the real story from the PAD pokertube link is that Tilly is partially retarded and has no idea how to cut chips [/ QUOTE ] yeah but she thought he had kings, so her hands were shaking quite a bit |

[ QUOTE ] http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/875/bscap0001sb2.jpg [/ QUOTE ] Hahahahaha am I the only one that found it incredibly funny how close he was to crying at the end of that hand? [/ QUOTE ] Good grief. He got his money in with the best hand, got outdrawn in a tourney he desperately wanted to win because of [censored] like you who totally disrespect him (admittedly he's overly concerned about his image).. yeah he's going to feel a bit disheartened, so would you. I think the fact the guy has $40 million and still cares as much as he does about excelling in another field says a lot about him. I have a lot more respect for Phil then I do for all the other independently wealthy players who are almost indifferent about winning or losing because of what they have away from the felt. I like his passion for the game. Phil has some growing to do, but as poker players go he's still one of the classier ones I've seen on TV. He's not Patrick Antonious, John Juanda, Barry G or Chris Ferguson .. but he's certainly not Daniel, Gavin, Josh Arieh, Mike M, Phil Laak or Annie Duke either. Generally he conducts himself graciously. Give the guy a break. |

I have always liked the fact that his playing proceeds go to cancer research and how active he is in that department, but the way he conducts himself is so arrogant and obnoxious at times that I can easily overlook his good deeds and call him a douche.

^^right on LJ, i mean, i can see that he wants to be liked and fit in, but intentional or not, he goes about the complete wrong way like in the episodes of PAD...
however, when it comes to strangers or people "below" him, he comes off as a total schmuck... |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah his intentions are good, but he is a douche most of the time I watch him on TV especially that one hand with Ivey on PAD where Ivey had the 77 and Tilly had the AK and Gordon said to Ivey "it's amazing that you never lose in these coin flip situations." |

[/ QUOTE ] Ivey is well known for being the biggest luckbox in the galaxy. I think he's sensitive about that, hence he went off on Phil G. From what I've heard Ivey is of somewhat questionable character, to be polite, so I encourage Phil to dis him more often. I'm sure the source couldn't be more irritating to Ivey.. well unless it were Ram Vaswani. |

does he really have that much? makes no sense he wouldn't play HSP then, that's where he could get the respect he obviously is obsessive about.
