Bonds may be an [censored]. I think he probably is. But I would be wary to trust the media in anything, especially the sports media. They know that their survival depends on getting cozy with players, and the players that don't treat them kindly get eviscerated.

As I said earlier in the thread, I think he's the biggest ass hole in sports I've ever seen, EXCEPT FOR murderers and criminals like OJ and Rae Carruth.

I have yet to see any evidence in this thread otherwise. "The media makes him seem worse than he really is" is nice to say, but worthless unless backed up with examples.

What is something the media has done to make Bonds look worse than he really is?

I know three people who have dealt with Bonds, and all agree that is was a Class A ****** and one related an incident similar to Ron Kittle's, but included Barry screaming at a 11 yr old fan who called him on his 'attitude'.

How about the constant reporting on all the special treatment the Giants give him.
Plenty of stars get special treatment from their teams, but you hear all the time that Bonds has 3 lockers and a recliner and a big TV.

Meanwhile Roger Clemens is deciding that the first half of the season doesn't matter and skipping road trips yet he doesn't get near the crap for that that bonds gets for having 3 lockers.
