I think another reason Wasicka folded and what was slightly alluded to in this post is the fact that if he calls his range will be much more narrow. You can argue that if he calls his opponents may put him on a draw but that also makes it difficult for his hand on future streets. whether or not the players around him are good enough to discern Wasicka's hand ranges and put him to the test is another question.
Also, I do agree Wasicka should have raised in this spot given how active he appeared to be playing given the rebroadcast of hands, but I think he was playing a great solid style and he obviously choose this time to mix up his game a bit. It would not have been uncommon to have someone like Negreanu or Eli or Sammy raise to 3500ish or more and have 3 callers behind them, not to mention if any of the them pick up hands they have a horribly difficult time folding to a reraise. I think that a lot of people are being results oriented in terms of criticizing his limp, especially given the number of callers that Wasicka was receiving from his raises. They were usually selective in their hands when playing him and that may have swung the pendulum in Wasicka's mind to limp raise. |

and of course, all the results-oriented fishies who think it's a great fold, would be trashing wasicka as a weak/tight nit if brunson has AT and wins a big pot from farha or elezra's JT/other garbage.

I think folding, calling, and raising are all reasonable based on your read on the sb.

my default fwiw with AT+ in his spot is raise the flop, if someone 3bets behind its an easy muck with anything smaller then bottom set (how can he have two pair here?) or a big draw (NFD or gutshot+flush) and then in position it depends on the turn card but generally check behind and call a river bet or value bet (on some rivers)
