durrr is better in general than sbrugby IMO at NLHE in general....durrr probably doesnt play them because 1, they are friends, and 2, durrr may feel sbrugby is good but I doubt durrr feels he has an edge on him, it may not be worth the variance for him because sbrugby's roll is >1 mil larger

sbrugby's roll is >1 mil larger [/ QUOTE ] meaning 1 mil larger than durrrr's? or >1 mil al together (which is obvious) as opposed to durrrr's? |

This was a response to profit question. Yes, if you get it in for $100 1000x with 70% EV your total profit is 70k. If you play for $30 1000x with 82% EV your total profit is 24k. Thus it will take 2.8x as many hands to win an equivalent amount of money. However, you will risk 3.3x the money in each instance you shove preflop. Thus risk/reward ratios are not optimal when shoving. [/ QUOTE ] SALAZARRRRRR, You are talking risk reward when comparing long term profits. Assuming you are correctly bankrolled for the game it doesnt matter if the risk is huge, provided the LONG TERM reward is higher. Im pretty sure Sesame Street did a special dealing with this simple logical thought process. Season 7, episode 12 IIRC. The episodes' number was 57.625 and the word was onomatopoeia. Bert and Ernie went to the park to feed the ducks. Fun was had. |

False. Adding variance increases the chance that I will have to move DOWN, decreasing profit. If my win rate isn't 2x as good as my current level after moving one level below, moving down = -EV. To move UP, i need at least 50% of the win rate to get equal profits. Is that probable?

Durr just wants us to believe that! durrrr > sbrugby

I learned how to play NLHE from Durr. I'm pretty sure it hurt my winrate at 2/4NL limit too . But +long run ev.
