Thanks for all your help everyone.
Went firing last Sunday. Fired a 44 Redhawk Magnum, 9mm S&W, some random 22's, and a Glock 19 (9mm). Going to start the purchase process on the Glock 19 today. Pew pew.

standard. However, for your next purchase you def. need to look into an AR-15, you never know when you are gonna have to bust on some people tryin to cop your [censored] and an assault rifle is more balla in general

Yeah 19's rule. That's the first gun I got. It's pretty great. One thing I had to do with mine is change the recoil spring. They are made of plastic, and it chipped after about 1k rounds. I changed it over to a metal one for about 20 bucks. That should last forever.
I asked why they had plastic spring in the first place and they told me that army handguns rarely shoot over 1k rounds and it's lighter or something.
