I love the show. I guess my only complaints would be the occasional bad writing and, like someone mentioned, the amazing amount of moles in the government and CTU. Still, their stories are usually believable and varied (some genuinely want to "help" the country, some are the masterminds, and some just want to get paid / need the money). I guess I also don't like at how so many characters are killed off. The turnover is amazing - there's like two people remaining from the first few seasons.

24 & prision break are the "emo" of serial tv.
they mostly suck because everybody likes them...i would swear that dan brown (divinc code) wrote 24, with its 3 page chapters....and sudden chliffhangerness. i like to get the dvd/torrent and watch it all the way thru...this made 2 lame to me,i could see why people would like it 1 hour a week. it would give you time to forget itby nextweek. |

[ QUOTE ] Season 4 is awesome. [/ QUOTE ] S4 was by far the worst season. It was borderline horrible. [/ QUOTE ] It is a very good show, but the novelty wears off and there are only so many twists and turns you can create before reasonable viewers become weary of them. I stopped watching halfway through season 4 and have never watched another episode. DN |

The burden of proof is on those who think the show doesn't suck. It sucks.

No way. The show is popularly and critically acclaimed (see ratings, Golden Globes, and Emmys). Taking that into account, I'd say that the burden of proof is clearly on those who think the show sucks, not on those who don't.
For everyone saying how terrible 24 is, what are you watching that's so much better? I can only think of 4-5 shows currently on TV that are more entertaining. |

A TV show doesn't need to be absolutely perfect on every level, it just needs to be entertaining. And 24 definitely is. But for the people who will dislike it because everybody likes it and they want to feel special and superior, be my guest. [ QUOTE ] Jack's going to be gruff and unshaven at the start of the new season, but by the end of the first episode I bet he's a clean-shaven torturing machine. The problem is they already did this in season 2. [/ QUOTE ] Jack is seriously [censored] up now. Scars all over his body. Also he's doing pretty bad mentally, but he can still kick terrorist butt obv. (I've seen the first four episodes) |

Problem: 95% (or so it seems) of the people in the plot are traitors. It is insanity.
That is the writers explanation for everything. Make so and so important character a traitor. |

[ QUOTE ] 2. Kim Bauer, wtf bring her back for a full season. [/ QUOTE ] God no, kill her off. I never understood the fascination with her on 24. Also, I agree 24 rules. I think the haters just don't get it. [/ QUOTE ] Elisha may be gorgeous. But Kim is the most annoying character in the history of TV. I have no idea why anyone would want to bring her back. |
