I personally just auction the items...I don't do eCommerce but I've looked into it. If you sell in extremely large volume like OP I see the point, if you don't then its just a hassle.

I would say 30% or more who sell their own items, for me its not worth the risk to bid something up as nothing is mine anyway and the difference between 100 bucks or 150 isnt that much for my end so not worth risking my business.

I just formed an LLC (1 person LLC), got my state sellers permit, got a state EIN, got a federal EIN, and got a business checking account set up. On Jan 1st I'll launch my e-commerce store.

I'm still unsure on paying myself. Can you just take whatever you need anytime?

I would suggest speaking with a cpa, I have a great one myself who isnt very expensive. Generally if your a LLC you will take what you need as Draws against the company.

#1. I havent had a day off in more than 2 years
#2. I have two sets of customers to please the buyer and the consignee
#3. Shipping 500+ items a week can be hard with just the 3 of us

Yes, though they most likely are a franchise, I choose not to franchise mine DOH!
