Steer clear of milk-like drinks. I'd give the nod to the gin & tonic. Learn how to mix a good one with good gin and decent tonic and some fresh lime juice. Quality > quantity with this drink.

Capt & Coke is fine if you want to be a lame frat guy.

If you gravitate to anything "fruity" or with an umbrella in it, make sure to have the pleats of your skirt pressed regularly.

Once your taste buds get used to alcohol, you'll have more options.

Gin and juice is nice. Orange is obviously the basic but it goes good with pinapple&mango, pretty much everything apart from apple. I didn't like that one. Mmmm gin and juice.

Or you could be Mr.Sophisticated and drink wine, but i've only ever ordered myself wine in a pub once without sharing with a girl... and even then I was with a French mate so that's almost the same. Might work for you though.

A generalization, of course, but they're pretty damn lame overall. Gimme a 52' reissue Tele anyday.

On topic: Haven't tried 7&7, will give it a go. Gin & ___ as well. I like redbull + jager fine, I'll try it with vodka.

Thanks OOT for contributing to my vices!

Jameson's & coke or Myers & coke

In my alcoholic days, these and Harp were the staples.

Anyway, sounds like white russians for me this weekend. Milk + Kahlua?

Vodka + Kahlua + half and half. It doesn't taste as good with milk.

You could also always do a Jameson & coke or a Crown & coke, both are much sweeter than Jack and mix well with coke. Also teach yourself to like beer.

gin & tonic with a lime.

To OP and others who mentioned they don't like beer, how often did/do you drink it? I don't think many people like it that much when they first try it... I'm sure you are aware its more of an acquired taste. Keep drinking!
