As an outstander i'm really suprised of how many americans who don't know about this bill and their loss of freedom of choice. Almost non of the americans i've talked to outside the pokercommunity have heard about the bill, and more than one had to get the link to the bill before they belived me. And after the bill past, i found news of it in a couple of european medias, but not any larger US. Even a negative show by Bill O'Reilly will get the bill known among the american people.

You make a great point on getting the media involved. The easy places seem to be: - Daily Show - Colbert Report - Opie and Anthony - Howard Stern Then we can maybe move to the more "serious" shows. [/ QUOTE ] Gross. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Bill O'Reilly would most certainly not be at all outraged by this legislation. He would be excesively concerned about kids and moral degenerates on the internet. He would be more likely to tell those who are upset that they can't internet-gamble that they should stop whining about it and find something better to do with their time such as supporting their family or spending time with their kids. This is the angle that O'Reilly generally tends towards. Although I admit I have not heard him speak specifically about internet-gambling. Fox News proclaims they are the most powerful name in news. I'm not sure that Bill O'Reilly says this about himself. If he does say this then it most certainly is not true. [/ QUOTE ] Of course you realize that this is logically equivalent to "if it most certainly is true then he doesn't say it." Just sayin... [/ QUOTE ] OK, you need to be really sure about grammar before you make a post like this. That is not logically equivalent because you misread his use of the word "then." "Then" does not always imply a causal link, in fact, it usually does not, even if it is in an if/then construction, it still does not always. In this instance "then" simply means "in that case" or "in that event" and the context could not make it any clearer, since the preceding sentence clearly gives the reason for the "if" in the sentence, namely, he did not think O'Reilly claims to be the most powerful man in news. |

The Republicans care great about the children, that was one of the main reasons for the bill:
