I'm Canadian, but this still sucks. I cashed out everything except 2k in Neteller and 6k on party to multitable 1/2 with. I have a US affiliate for Party and UB, so I'm worried that that will be a problem. I'm not sure what we're supposed to do, but the games were fishy this morning.

Got around 2k in Stars and 2k Party. I had a couple of smaller sites go non-US on me the past month. I got my $ no problems, so I'd be amazed if PP or Stars don't hand it over.

I've got another 300 hands to get a Party bonus, so I may as well do that before cashing out. I'll cash out of Stars, if they announce the same.

I cashed out 5k from Neteller. I had to go through the new T+C. It seems to me (and I have no idea whether this is correct), but they are reserving the right to cancel your account and in some cases hold the funds if you use the account to engage in illegal activity. I hate to say it, but it looks as if using Neteller to fund/cash-out from poker sites is going to be tough or risky for US cutomers in future.

Just when I figured I had $200NL cracked. [censored] Bill Frist with a red hot poker.

I'm really bummed right now. I feel like I ground out a lot at the lower limits but finally have really learned how to play poker and over the past 8 weeks or so have made around $20k. Would have been nice to bank an extra $125k or so a year, which would be easily doable playing occasionally at 2/4, 3/6, and 5/10.

But I just cashed out the $11k or so that I had at Party. Just not worth the risk to me of party going bust or something, though I think it's not terribly likely.

I am going to wait at least a couple weeks and see how things shake out. I am somewhat pessimistic at the moment, but who knows. I am not particularly worried about getting money back in: if I can't figure out how to do it, with some determination, then neither can the fish, in which case I don't really want to deposit anyway.

The politics of this are pretty interesting. I kind of wonder what's going to happen when half a million americans who just play poker casually log into their party accounts and find out that Bill Frist banned them from playing anymore, in the interests of upholding their morality. It doesn't really matter at this point, but I do think that the republicans are going to wind up slightly -Votes from this business.

Right now I've cashed out of all sites except for PokerRoom.
Only because i'm clearing the bonus there.

I'm hoping they keep their doors open to US Players as i've done most of my play there over the last few months.

PokerRoom, Stars, FTP, Absolute, UB.

I'm hoping that at least 3 of those stay open to US... if not, Then I hope there is a large influx of players to Wpex.

I'd also like to know if anyone has forumlated a plan for the idea about using a non-USA based bank account and address. It'd be cool if someone smarter than me could detail this and how it would work.

[/ QUOTE ]
I don't have a plan, and I'm certainly not smart, but a quick web browse lights up plenty of info on mail drops and offshore accounts.

Just one of many

Doesn't look too cheap, but well within range for the mid/high player I would think.

To me the question is how much demand for these vehicles increases in the coming months, and whether some entities out there tailor some cheaper retail products for us poor U.S. SSNLers.

since this whole legislation started I cahsed out about 80% of my roll and left enough to keep me going for quite some time at 100 on pokerstars...pending furthur news. I have also decided to go back to some old hobbies if my new poker hobby doesnt work out. Old hobbies means smoking a bowl and watching good times. I guess I will also be spending more "quality time" with my girlfriend. Quality time means us going to something cultural while she talks about some nonsense and I dream about poker and give the occasional...honey you just arent appreciated...sometimes it makes sense sometimes it doesnt.

I just remembered that I had a Blackjack bonus to clear at Starluck casino... so I started betting $10 a hand to clear it faster, ended +200. (Starluck is owned by Party Gaming and will probably be shut down this week)

I guess I'll go to FT, then, but it sounds like all of 2p2 will be there. Great.

[/ QUOTE ]

The vast majority were at Party and yet you still managed to win somehow. You will be fine at FT. Just make sure you sign up for the unmentionable.

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought it was only "unmentionable" if it was forbidden on that site.

Rakeback is perfectly OK for FTP.

But anyway, I highly recommend Pokerroom network. Hollywood offers rakeback. And the players there are redonkulously bad and aggro.
