Try installing Process Guard and blocking Party from hooking your keyboard. If I remember correctly this helped quite a bit. Party is still a resource hog but not quite as bad...

Also try DeMonster...

[/ QUOTE ]

I've downloaded processguard now. Which setting blocks party from hooking your keyboard? Is it "Authorize this application to read from protected applications"?

And btw thanks alot for taking time to answer my questions.

Default EMAIL PARTY

Everyone should email Party about this problem and maybe link to this thread. I did and they gave me the same response as they gave others: "we've never heard of this problem before. Try reinstalling"

EMAIL THEM AND MAKE THEM FIX THIS SHHIT!

After a bunch of hours transferring to Postgres on Wednesday and 2 nights of confusion, computer punching, unable to play pokerness and heavy drinking, I went back to Access and everything is fine again.

I'll probably still drink heavy though.

I just spent the last 10 hours importing >300,000 hands into a new access database. Hope it helps me.

Hmm are you saying that the heavy lagging somehow is related to postgres? That would explain why my friend doesn't have this problem he still uses access.

Heya, I'm happy as happy can be, no matter what pic. No offense though, I just thought it might be in your interest to stop people from mistaking you for that %*x#!x% pokerace guy.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oooh, so you were reading the morons posts in the Zoo, huh? lol

[/ QUOTE ]

Nope, not sure if I know what posts you refer to. And now that I'm slightly (ok, slightly+) drunk, I see the Monster theme, and the "De-cropping", in your avatar pic. Nice stuff.

I am going to use access tonight for the first time since the nightmare slowdowns began. I'll update here on how it goes.

btw, will changing PartyGaming or PT or GT+'s priority to "Realtime" or "Low" help at all?

Is the problem PostreSQL by chance? This started happening for me right around that time.

[/ QUOTE ]

There is no problem with Postgres; however, Postgres is yet another set of processes that will consume CPU. That is one disadvantage of using Postgres over Access, but I think most will agree the advantages heavily outweight the disadvantages...

[/ QUOTE ]
I don't use postgress and experience the Usage hogging as well.

bah, I uninstalled postreSQL, changed my DB to access and still had major major slowdowns tonight. So much that I quit early after being on fire.

Although I think GT+ is likely a big culprit. I didn't notice before but it was at like 55+ CPU usage while playing. URG. Maybe I'll try PAHUD again I dontfkinknow.
