we play 2 QB each week in my 8-team league and i've gotta figure out what to do w/ Trent Green out. here's what's on my roster:

Carson Palmer
Trent Green
Jon Kitna
Alex Smith

do i really want to play Smith? the WW has Brunell, Frye, and Simms

johnny,

Caddy against ATL is not looking like a good thing right now. I'd go M. Bell as Denver at home vs. a Green-less KC looks like a great matchup. And how the hell do you only have Simms and Frye as QBs? There has to be someone better on the wire, no?

[/ QUOTE ]

16 man sttf league. its teh suck. also, fwiw, td passes are only worth 4 points. its a funky league.

Brunell looks like a better play than either Kitna or Smith, but I would play Smith over Kitna.

And it doesn't help when you draft Charles Rogers and Jimmy Smith back to back. Not one of my better drafts.

I can only carry 3 RB's and I got Jordan & McGahee. Tatum Bell or Thomas Jones for the rest of the year in a TD/catches league?

[/ QUOTE ]

Blah...what's the latest on Benson? I'm leaning towards Bell, but that's a crappy situation to be in.

[/ QUOTE ]

Crappy situation because my league rules are dumb or because my RB's suck? Cause I think my RB's are pretty good for a 14 team league not withstanding an obviously bad first week.

I think Caddy will be fine vs. Atl. Falcons run D is not good.

[/ QUOTE ]

They weren't good last year. The shut down Carolina's offense and held Foster to 54 yards. Plus Caddy has back spasm issues that need to be watched leading up to kickoff.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't see how they'll be a ton better this year. Did they make other upgrades on the front 7 other than Abraham, who if I'm not mistaken is primarily a pass-rusher?
The Panthers running game really wasn't very good last year. When you take away their biggest and only offensive weapon and put them behind for the whole game, it's not surprising that they didn't run very well.

Trade question:

Villain is a huge Steelers fan and wants Willie Parker.

I'd send:
Willie Parker
Reggie Wayne

I'd get:
Terrell Owens
Reggie Bush

Yes or no?

i wouldnt do that trade. for one, willie parker is the feature back in pittsburgh. you can play him every week. reggie bushs' production will probalby be more inconsistent. and colts will be throwing more this year w no real running game yet. and T.O is a big big headache to own in fantasy.

I'ts hard to evaluate trades in a vacuum (you might also try the trade thread), but the only way I'd do this right now is if I was extremely deep at RB. If you aren't, then the upgrade from Wayne to Owens won't be big enough to make up for the difference from Parker to Bush/whoever.
