how can u say players are over rat3d whan all u have mentoned are now millionaires or more because of poker, ive never heard anyone say tuan le is the best in the w0rld, but his wins apeak for themselves, just because u saw him playing very loose at the endgame on WPT doesnt mean thats how he got all of his chips to get tot the final table, and jenn harmon? Are u kidding me? She is without a doubt an awesome poker inspiration to all not just women.
and antonio? noone ever put his name and the best in the world together but none the less he has made millions, he is a superstar and a great player, i think maybe u need to reconsider what you are writing. Where do u see these ratings? Do u call them over ratd because u saw them on tv? |

Clonie Gowan - Had a moderately high finish in a Caribbean tournament and finagles an invitation to WPT Ladies Night. Luck boxes a win there and goes on to stardom. She has not had a decent result in a real tournament since.

I find that most of the "overrated" players are the poster boys/girls for poker websites and commercials. Like, Chris Moneymaker is still overrated; just hearing his name amongst the elite players in any way, shape, or form makes me sick. He was just a LAG who surprised a lot of players and hit his cards in a "big" (823 participants, which is nothing today). I still doubt this [censored]'s last name is "Moneymaker," and the very fact that ESPN/Pokerstars blows and then swallows this guy's load every chance they get is a testmanent to just how [censored] manipulative these two companies really are.
Also overrated has to be Annie Duke. One review of her play at the tournament of champions should justify this claim for anyone who isn't results orientated. She caught a run of cards - congratulations, here's 2 million and the closing chapter of your book and blah blah blah. Also, of the ten "champions" who were "invited" that year (which didn't include Scott Fischman, who won two rings in 2004), she was easily the msot commercially inspired of the invitees. Daniel Neagreanu is not overrated. Anyone who thinks this is basing it on entirely subjective reasoning (like, anti FCP cult reasoning). He plays in the big game, does well for himself; meanwhile, he usually has a big tournament win or two during a given year. Every player has a big weakness that can be exploited; Daniel calls too many rivers, for instance. However, in order to get to that weakenss, A LOT of bad [censored] has to happen first. What happened on HSP this season would meltdown 99.5% of all players. Nobody mentioned Barry Greenstein or Phil Ivey on this list, and perhaps that says something about their play. |

He has a great story, and that's what you always hear about. I've never heard anyone talk about how awesome a player he is. |

and while not related to her play, i still cannot get out of my head the fit she had at the wsop main even last year when her opponent toyed with her and beat her with a strt flush. [/ QUOTE ]This had to have been the lowest point of her entire poker playing year. Sure she might not have handled it as well as she could have- but if I had a camera on me for my worst hand all year then I'd probably not come off too well either. |

And getting slow rolled on a hand like that (hitting a one outer against her queens full), regardless of the stakes, is going to be more than a little frustrating. I doubt I'd want my reaction televised. |
