Thanks for doing this by the way. I have noticed a lot more check-raising at 50NL. Is this common at 100NL? Is this expected at higher limits. I realize this could just be variance. In addition, I have found that pot control becomes far more important at higher limits. Do you agree? What was the biggest change in ur game when u jumped to 100NL? (for example c-bet less, bluff less/more ect.)

[/ QUOTE ]

I haven't noticed a lot of checkraising in my games at least. It's either just short term variance or then your table selection sucks.

Sure pot control is important, but often people lose out on a lot of value because they are trying to control the potsize. E.g. AK on a A249r board. You could check the turn to control the potsize, but you would be losing out on some serious value from weaker aces.

Biggest adjustment from NL25 to NL100 was probably increasing aggression.

Do you use a custom rating system for your sixth sense database, or do you just use the standard system. And what does your HUD look like?

And to continue the tradition of the Well,

What has been your biggest mistake (poker or life related) and what, if anything, did you learn from it?

[/ QUOTE ]

TBH I don't think I've made any huge mistakes in my life so far, which I'm obviously quite happy about. If I had to name one then probably not realising that 99% of people are idiots and being a bit gullible was a mistake I used to make. I don't know whether that classifies as a big mistake though.

Does 6th Sense only work on Party at NL200 and above or has it been modified from that?

kit,
IMO, a bigger BR (30 buys) isn't pansy in the least. You say that your worst downswing has only been 7 buyins- you are very fortunate. I had a 30 buyin roll for 200nl, and on a -10 buyin downswing right now. Bankroll grows faster than skill (aj). Also, you see guys move up perhaps a bit too quickly and get owned. It works sometimes (moving up fast), ie. Grim/cts, but you have to be very lucky and learn at a faster pace than others.

I agree that dropping down in limits is probably the way to go when hitting a rough patch. anyways, just dropping in to give my short opinion, carry on.

[/ QUOTE ]

You're right, I am quite fortunate that my biggest downswing is 7 buy-ins but I still think aggressively moving up and down limits is a good way to go. Obviously it's not for everyone though. And maybe 30 buy-ins isn't pansy, but it's my blog and i can say whatever I want.

You would legalize which of the following:

1) Gay marriage
2) Marijuana
3) Hard drugs
4) Prostitution
5) Aggressive displays of public beastiality

What is your political persuasion?

If you had to live in one country for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Who is your favorite SSNL poster and why?

[/ QUOTE ]

Gay marriage, marijuana, hard drugs yes. The other two no.

I don't follow politics. I support whichever is the one that supports online poker.

Probably the UK. Maybe Japan.

Jamougha. He's the poster who has helped my game the most.
