Default Re: Israel\'s Attack on Lebanon and Hezbollah

I deleted one of your posts from this thread as it had a link to an anti-Semtiic website.

You're insinuating that TV is covering up the existence of Jewish organized crime figures. I saw a biography of Merier Lansky on TV not long ago, and I've seen "Once Upon A Time in America" on TV many times.

Can you produce any evidence of the "Jewish Mafia foothold" in the industries you listed? Or reasons for your belief that the "Jewish mob" would "rain havoc" on the U.S. if the U.S. only supported Israel 99%? Isn't the U.S. being in favor of a Palestinian state, and the president asking Israel today to be judicious in its response in Lebanon mean that it already is not supporting Israel 100%?

"And the Jews can do it."

Can do what?

This thing might be heating up. I just saw on the news that the missile that hit Hafia was fired by Iranian gaurd units (says Israel).

If this turns out to be true, does this mean war between Israel and Iran?

[/ QUOTE ]
Which station was this on?

[/ QUOTE ]

It was Fox News. It was just on again with more details. Israel says that the missle was an Iranian missile that Iran got from North Korea. The missle was fired from southern Lebanon by Iranian gaurd units that work with Hezbollah fighters. Hezbollah is saying that they didn't fire the missile. This might be escalating into a regional war.

yea, seriously, what a great outlook on the world.

What? The conservatives have no use for the poor here in america, claiming the rich have to give them a free ride.
They're tired of all the social programs that they have to finance.
Well, I'm tired of our govt having to intervene and spend their energies trying to get the heathens in these 3rd world countries to stop fighting. Let em go at it.

It's no skin off the backs of conservatives if the inner city youth in the ghetto gets an education that pales in comparison to what is available in the more affluent neighborhoods, and I could give a rat's ass about a 3rd world nation. No matter what they call their god. I don't discriminate.
It amazes me how people can fight over religion. A study of the murders committed in the name of the Catholic religion should be enough to convince anyone that the whole theology is junk.

Which of course, makes the Iranian posturing of late make more sense now. They clearly want to provoke a regional war because they think it might be a repeat of several previous wars where a whole host of other arab countries join in on an attack against Israel (although i doubt Jordan or Egypt would come along for the ride this time). No matter, Israel will win again if this is the case.

That would be sweet....so long as we don't get involved. Let them take off the gloves. Last Man Standing gets the land.

Egypt and Jordan definitely don't sound like they would, at least not from their responses to the conflict so far.

Any missile hitting Haifa is a huge escalation. We are a [censored] up country and have some strange lines we draw. We can "handle" missiles across the border and on Kiriat Shmone and the area, but a missile hitting Haifa, the 3rd largest city in Israel, is a HUGE turning point.

As an understatement, if another missile hits Haifa tomorrow, no UN meeting or international pressure will save southern Lebanon.

Yuv... in your corner of the world, what is normal is very different... some of the statements by Arab leaders today were also quite interesting...

"Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Thursday an Israeli strike on Syria would be considered an attack on the whole Islamic world that would bring a 'fierce response'..."

Note he didn't say the Israeli actions in Lebanon were an attack on the whole Islamic world... I guess he's ok with Israel doing what's necessary there.

Also this from Saudi Arabia... " 'A distinction must be made between legitimate resistance and uncalculated adventures undertaken by elements inside (Lebanon) and those behind them without recourse to the legal authorities and consulting and coordinating with Arab nations,' a statement carried by the official news agency SPA said. 'These elements should bear the responsibility for their irresponsible actions and they alone should end the crisis they have created.' "

OK... so exactly which other attacks have been sactioned by these so called "legal authorities" and consulted arab nations... so that they too may be held accountable for those previous actions.

The clock is ticking for Syria and Iran... it is only a matter of time before they are swept into the War on Terror.

Bomb Iranian Oil fields to eliminate the financial sources of terrorism. Yes this would temporarily mean $100/ barrel oil but perhaps this would cause the collapse of the theocracy in Iran.

Can the Israelis refuel in mid-air? I highly doubt they could get to Iran, much less back, without doing so.
