A point to those of you who dislike the current tone of OOT.

The point being TQZ/tl:dr is supposed to be a "cleaner" oot that's an alternative for you. I think diebitter and Sniper's mission needs to be rehabiliating that forum to bring that about.

Anyone care to explain what he's talking about, cos I keep reading it and it doesn't make any more sense each time...

db,

I think the perception is that tl:dr is basically A&E and not "oot for grownups". Clearly that wasn't the percpetion of Jurollo, and yet TQZ was created for people who express his exact point of view. So your charge should be to reach those Jurollos and get them to be part of your forum.

And we need to rehabilitate rhe forum for what purpose?

I really don't understand what you think we need to rehabilitate the forum for. The forum is pretty damn good as it is.

"The Lounge: Discussion and Review"

Work it out. A dictionary might help.

Or better yet read the FAQ. Keep the dictionary though, in case the long words confuse you.

The current top threads in TQZ:

Whats your favorite US city?

Die Hard trilogy Poll (which was moved for some reason, even though it easily has as much content as any other thread, or do you not allow polls any more?)

Your favorite painter

Miscellaneous life skills

actors who have been in a ton of movies....

March of the penguins (a sweet 3 line review)

The perpetual film still quiz

Exper supporting actors

The point is these are all nothing but list threads, full of one liners and this is supposed to be the long discussion forum? please. Or is it OOT adult now? Or is it A&E? Of the 3 the only label that would make any sense would be A&E, but then why would you move the diehard thread? because its taking up space that could be used for another great list thread. But somehow KKF was spamming with all his list threads. That forum is a complete joke, and yet you say its doing great. When the only reason it even has any traffic right now is because a few people got pissed off by the culling. great forum, just awesome.

get off your [censored] high horse. theres no discussion and review going on there, its a bunch of little list threads full of one line responses. Do you even read your own forum?
