I think the most annyoing one i Ever heard at the table was "reload", guy kept saying it after anyone got taken out. I mean the first time it had its moment, but after the 4th or 5th it got old.

[ QUOTE ]
"Classic Race situation" "He's got a wired pair of ___ " (Hey A-hole...if it's a pair, saying wired is f-ing redundant) [/ QUOTE ] Well, sort of. 'Wired' came originally from 7-stud, where you could be dealt either a wired pair, like (AA)9 (where the 9 is your up card), or a split pair like (A9)A (where one ace is up). So yeah, since you don't get an up card in holdem all starting pairs are wired, so it's redundant in that sense. But after the flop, say you have AK, and the flop is AJ3, your hand is a pair of aces, but not a wired pair. So after the flop you can talk about wired pairs and non-wired (or split) pairs. If 'wired pair' is redundant, so is 'pocket pair'. If you ever hear someone say 'wired pair', you can be sure they've been around the game longer than the Moneymaker era (actually, a lot longer). This person might also call chips 'checks', a three a 'trey', and might even call the flop the 'turn', or call a wheel straight a 'bicycle'. |
