I canīt believe you are taking Romario out of Top 20... Roberto Carlos? Batistuta?
Romario did something only Maradona also did. He won a World Cup by himself, and is going on to score 1000 goals. Also he made the most goals in the Brazilian Championship last year with 39! years. Romario is a genius. Since Maradona, only Zidane is ahead of him, Batistuta never accomplished half of what Romario did, despite playing with better teams (Argentina in 94 was way better than Brazil 94, who had a midfield of Dunga, Mauro Silva, Mazinho and Zinho) Tostao was also a genius, and important part of the greatest team ever. Later i will coment more. |

Carlos??? You'd be kidding.
Maldini is first choice Left Back. Roberto Carlos stuffs it up too much. Current players Zidane ROnaldo (Most World cup goals counts for something) Ronaldinho Immad Arsenal, but Henry in the top 20 of all time?? Not a chance. His credentials dont stack up. A couple of league titles. A bit part in a world cup. No joy at European level, and there is doubt about his international performances. I think Steven Gerrard is a chance to add his name to that list. If you were looking for young players that might get to that level, maybe Messi, Torres, Robben, Fabregas. These guys could make the list 10 years from now. |

Fair enough on Gerrard.
I may have taken the OP the wrong way, I kind of took it to mean which players in the tournament could be in the top 20 of all time, with all time being judged some time in the future. Otherwise Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Zidane and thats it. |
