Sounds liek the Gunslinger stuff would work as an HBO series, and I feel the same way about GRRM's A Song of Fire and Ice series. I'd kill to have a huge tv series of those books. [/ QUOTE ] I would also kill to have a HBO quality Song of Ice and Fire series. It would incredibly hard to do right, though. It would be really hard to do before all the books are out, so I am predicting something will happen around 2020. |

I'm not sure how well Ender's Game would work as a movie. In the right hands it's a cinch, but I still see it difficult.
Neuromancer I just don't see how it could translate into the timeframe a movie requires, Johnny Mneumonic (SP?) completely sucked. Although of the quality of Neuromancer lies in the style and internal 'dialogue', and a movie would just capture the action portion of the plot. Movie 'cyberspace' depictions also typically suck. Neal Stephenson's The Diamond Age I would like to see, but it's just so long. Snowcrash would be an easy to do movie since it was written with a graphic aspect in mind, and isn't too heavy, although it still has the depiction of cyberspace problem. Edit: I forgot to hit submit about 5 hours ago when I wrote this. My bad. |
