don't fear for DeSalvo - hopefully Yankee management is not foolish enough to think that this guy has any future in major league baseball. When someone comes off the DL, he'll go back down - hopefully it happens before luck catches up with him.

at least torre might get fired soon
lets take a look at the yankee lineup by obp: .359, damon .313, abreu .447, jeter .411, arod .397, giambi .391, matsui is there any defense for this at all? i realize that abreu is playing way worse than anyone could ever expect, but at a certain point when you have a lineup like this you CANNOT HAVE A .313 OBP HITTER BATTING SECOND. I know that lineup order usually only has a small impact on run production, but that is a pretty major differential, I'd be interested if there was a way of quantifying it. Something is obviously wrong with him, over the course of his career he has walked slightly over 10% of the time, and before today he want 14 games and 58 ABs without a walk. Historically there is a 90% chance of him walking in every AB, and .9 ^ 58 = .0022, or a .22% chance of him not walking once over 58 ABs, or am I mistaken?
