What sites are on this network?

How do the sites make money?

[/ QUOTE ]

They keep the rake for a week so there's some investment income. But of course that's peanuts compared to just keeping the rake.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is wrong. They have the money for investment income iregardless of whether you have access to the rake rebate or not. Only need enouch cash on hand to cover transactions.

I think we'll find out soon that Partys Eastern Russian affiliate group is behind all the DOS attacks on WSEX/WPEX.

Default Re: Why does LRR indicates bots?

I tend to think the site was using the bots as prop players(wsex has denied this). But when the bots put down some crazy suckouts everyone starts speculating wether wsex was rigging the site.

[/ QUOTE ]

That statement makes no sense. If wsex was using bots while denying their use ( I'm not saying they were, I wouldnt know, but if) they are by definition rigging the site. wether the bots are programed to make money or break even or see hole cards is irrelevent. Fraudulent is fruadulent, the rest is just degrees of guilt.

The arguments used as evidence for bots playing at Wsex suprise me a lot.
Im no expert on bots but I would think that programmer of bots would have no problem of simulating play of a human; taking extra time to make a decision now and then; even throw in a curse word when losing a big pot.

I've played there about 25 hours, did not have the impression that the players were bots, nor coluding.
Not enough hours to make a good judgement, I know.

But I was wondering, if this site indeed used bots, why then have so little tables open. It seems to me ( again Im no expert) that if you have a bot, that then in fact you have an unlimited number of bots; meaning that at this site, no matter what limit u want to play, there's always a seat for u.

well that is two seperate statements.

I would not be surprised if the bots on the site(there was bots on the site) were being used by wsex as prop players. Several people concluded there were bots on the site. Mmaybe they were owned by customers.

After being sucked out on continually by the bots people started to speculate that wsex was cheating the players.

Both statments make sense to me. I don't know if wsex owned the bots as I only played with a confirmed bot for 2 days.

Another possiblity is that they were scared to play with me...They were like "Oh no, Crix is here. I'm taking my stack somewhere else so I don't get busted"....

[/ QUOTE ]

or indeed it could be this.

Disconnected a second time at just the wrong time--when I had 650 chips in the pot with top pair:

E-mail to support:
This tournament went ahead while the WPEX server was clearly suffering problems. First, not long after the tournament started I and some other players were disconnected and unable to reconnect for around 15 minutes while our chips were being blinded away and others were able to play. Secondly for me, I was disconnected at a crucial moment in a hand when I had 650 of my remaining 1235 chips in the pot. Ludicrously unable to call for an extra 46 chips, my top pair was folded. It appears from the hand history (hand 31268XXX) another player acting after me may have had the same problem. Please look into this and consider refunding my buy-in for this tournament.

no disconnect protect in tournies?

Default Re: WSEX = RAKE FREE!

I guess this thread is as good as any to put my comments/questions on.

I downloaded WSEX but have not set up an account or played there yet.

I'm hoping the SNGs start to get some action. Does anybody know where I can find a copy of the blind structures for these? I searched the site and the SNGs themselves and can't find anything. Also, it was confirmed that tournament fees will be refunded, correct?

On another topic, I have brainstormed a few ideas that could keep WSEX rakefree permanently and I hope they are doing the same. For starters, they could require that a portion of the RB be gambled either on the sportsbook or on their online casino if they have one. Perhaps they could also use their table for advertising?

Finally, I would definitely like to see this concept grow so that a "rakewar" or at least something close to that ensues. I will probably throw some money in and give some action sometime soon...most likely the tournaments with the nice overlays.

Not at all. "Rigging" a game is a well-accepted term for controlling the outcome. Providing bots or props is simply a matter of allowing you opponents to play. As long as the props/bots are playing a fair game, it's still a fair game.

You can make a case that it's fraud. . . it's certainly false advertising if they use props or bots and deny it.

Again, though, this is all a matter of "If, if, if. . ."
