hey Jukofyork,

Awesome program!!

When I (run) run.bat it says "Another program is currently using this file." I have tried rebooting and running it before any other FreePHG related files and I still get the message...

The only problem caused by this is that I have to manually renamed the file extentions before extracting the hands from them, so it's not a big deal.

Thanks

Sorry, can you explain a bit better what the problem is. Are the .hhf file themselves locked or is it run.bat itself?

If the problem is with run.bat, then just use the shortcut method (see my last post in this thread for instructions).

Default Using AHK to launch FPGH

Juk,

Thanks again for a wonder program, and all your efforts.

Got a quick trivia question: I'm using AHK to launch all my poker programs with one hot key.

The issue I have is that when I launch it via a hot key, I get a CMD.exe process, as well as the FreePHG.exe, and neither have a low process priority.

My batch fild consists of
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
FreePHG.exe -p -2 -o -6max
</pre><hr />

I wasn't able to lauch that bat file directly with ahk (via
run, FreePHG.exe -p -2 -o -6max) for some reason.

So I had to create a shortcut to the batch file, then use ahk to call that:

<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
run, C:\Program Files\Poker\PartyPokerHH\FreePHG.lnk,,min
</pre><hr />

This successfully launches FreePHG, but it's not low priority, and there is additionally a CMD.exe process that is also launched....

Any suggestions?

thx!

When you run FPHG using "-p -2" it won't actually show up as low priority in the task-manager anyway!

The reason is that I just spawned a new worker thread and set the thread priority to "low" (ie: "-p -2"). The FPHG main thread does nothing but spawn the worker thread, then waits forever.

To make 100% sure it's low priory, try running something else and you should see FPHG's CPU use drop to almost 0%.

As for starting run.bat from inside of AHK, I'm not so sure about that. I do intend to add a GUI soon(ish) to FPHG to make it easier, but just haven't had time recently, so using AHK to fire it up seems a good idea. Is it not possible to call a program from AHK with C/L args passed to it, rather than using my batch file?

You Posted:

1. Make a folder for mining somewhere.
2. Copy an execuatble into this folder and rename it EmpirePoker.exe (or another skin you don't use).
3. Copy FreePHG.exe into this folder also.
4. Open up some tables (see below).
5. Start running FreePHG.exe from your mining folder and you should start to see .hhf files appearing for the tables you are watching.
6. When you want to import these hands, point PT at this folder by pointing it at the EmpirePoker.exe (it will then think this folder is the empire folder and [auto-]import from their).
_________________________________________________

I do not understand how to follow steps #2 &amp; 3 above (copy an execuatble, etc...).

Can't I just drag the FPHG file into my Empire Poker Hand History folder?
I have tried this and my FPHG downloading is working just fine, however, Poker Tracker will not recognize the files that it is placing in my:

Yes, this is probably the easiest method (assuming you don't use Empire anymore).. Just copy FreePHG into C:\Program Files\EmpirePoker\ and then run it from within their. You should also copy the iWitness script into this folder if you want to use iWitness to open the tables (iWitness is like the old partymine).

C:\Program Files\EmpirePoker\HandHistories

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this is where your problem is! Observed HandHistories (.hhf files) should be stored in 'C:\Program Files\EmpirePoker\' and only you own hand histories should be stored in 'C:\Program Files\EmpirePoker\HandHistories' (ie: just copy and run it from within the same folder as Empire.exe).

[ QUOTE ]
Are people successful using the "generic" import (lightning bolt) or Auto-Import Party Poker Logo?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think either should work, so long as you setup PT to point to 'C:\Program Files\EmpirePoker\' and tell it to import observed hand histories.

[ QUOTE ]
If you could take a moment, please list VERY SPECIFIC directions on how to:

2. Copy an execuatble into this folder and rename it EmpirePoker.exe
3. Copy FreePHG.exe into this folder also.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you still can't get it to work by running from within 'C:\Program Files\EmpirePoker\', then I can send you a zip with everything and see if that helps, but I think the problem you were having was because you were running FreePHG.exe from within the folder designed to store your own played hands. I am finally up and working!!!!!!!!! thanks to all of you who helped, i know i had many basic questions, so thanks for the great answers. Took me a week of reading and rereading to find the mistake and this is it (I think)

One last question do the files just sit in that folder? do i delete them once a week or just leave them there or what?

THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!

(now i am off to get iWitness, wish me luck

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm having the exact same problem winchips was. When I run PT it's saying over and over but no hands being imported:

[ QUOTE ]
Import Finished - 9 file(s) read - 0 new hand(s) were imported.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm running the FPHG file directly from within C:\Program Files\EmpirePokerMaster where EmpirePokerMaster.exe resides. It's creating the .hhf files there, but PT isn't importing the hands.

Ideas?

Change the batch file by adding '-e txt' to the second line. That's what did it for me.

Im having the same probs sharksfan did. Can you be more specific about---

2. Edit the properties of the shortcut.
3. In the box which says "Target" add the option you want (just as you would in run.bat).

So far I've just made a shortcut and put it in the hand history folder.
