why do they telegraph weakness and still call http://www.pokerhand.org/?1236556 [/ QUOTE ] To get you to bluff at the pot, clearly. It looks like it worked like a charm. ssdex: that first hand seems pretty gross to me. How often does your hand flop (I'm not interested in 5-card PF equity) well enough to continue? It doesn't seem like the implied odds are there, even though you are super deep. Unless this guy was super easy to move or something like that, I'm not seeing it. |

even if he is telegraphing weakness, a buttload of hands call there (lots of pps, flush draws, Ax). i don't know if they fold 50% of the time (or whatever % is needed) there for it to be a profitable bluff. i think once he leads, rather than checks, he is saying he has something (whether it's a made hand or a good draw). i prefer to do this on something high and dry, not low and wet, although i guess i could be convinced otherwise.

Ok, villain is 50/20/2 and raises 4BB on the button with a $22 stack at $0.25/0.50 stakes and I am SB with 66, what's my plan? And what about 22 here? I'm thinking 88+ I would reraise but I'm not sure about 55-77.
I'm thinking calling and then betting the flop is often bad because this type of player will prob call with allsorts. Also, I should know this by know but what's the best or a good line for AK OOP against a tight player who's something like 20/12/2.5? I mean how far do you go if they call the flop on, say an A74 board, do you then check- call turn or bet/fold? Is this type of player calling my 4BB raise in pos with all pairs or maybe only something like 77+? |

on a drawy board? his turn bet is logical (whether he has a made hand or draw). you expect him to check?
