What is the zeebo theorem? (just a quick summary) [/ QUOTE ] When you have the (near) nuts and think your opponent has a decent hand too, that he is not folding no matter how much you bet, then bet all-in no matter how big of an overbet it is. |

Just that position and especially selective aggressiveness are not really important (well position is, but first when you reach the push/fold stage, and the importance comes into play on the range of hands you can push, yadiyada ... long rant nipped in the bud) [/ QUOTE ] Wait... so what is important? The ability to win coinflips? |

No, it's your hand beating his hand range, but he thinks that his hand is beating your hand range.

Are you making marginal calls (say with like A5) when a villain that knows icm is abusing the bubble? [/ QUOTE ] There are two idea's here ... one is the idea of spitecalling, which is basically making a -EV call splattering both your and villians EV all over the table to make villian tighten up in future sngs (but I guess this is not what you are asking about) The other is the pure ICM call. If villian knows ICM, then he is not pushing any two. So if you sit down with sngpt, you can find a pushing range that fits him (either based on the calling range, that you are guessing he thinks you have or solving for the nash equilibrium) Once you have villians pushing range, then ICM determines your calling range. Without blindlevel and stacksizes that question is unanswerable. (Instead of going the whole hog and guessing a pushrange based on your calling range or NE, you can also simply just take a guess at villians pushing range and calculate if calling with A5 is +EV ... HOLLA !) |
