Adu deal stalled. Apparently MLS agreed to the ridiculously low transfer fee of $2M, but they haven't been able to work out the contract.

I hope something goes through soon.

All but official that Chistian Chivu will be leaving Roma to Inter for 14 mil euros and half the contract of Adreolli, who is a young but highly tauted player.

Sorry for the non-premiership news(serie a > EPL ), but assuming Roma uses the money to sure up its back line(will sign Modesto as backup and possibly Cichino from Madrid hopefully if Madrid gets Alves), then I can say that this was a solid, solid summer.

dumb idea on his part. While there is some uncertainty with the Billy Davies situation and the fact that they are relegation fodder, this is an opportunity for him to go to england and play in a better league

[/ QUOTE ] Really? Why not finish out his MLS season, possibly building his rep, and move to a lower mid table team ala Dempsey?

depmsey also had a good WC along with a bunch of great performances for new england. Eddie Johnson hasn't looked as good as his early performances for the US team. He'd have to turn in some amazing performances between now and the end of the season for him to secure a move in the Jan window

Maybe you should go watch the last 5 KC wizards games. Johnson has NEVER been in better form than right now.

and he had almost dissapeared on the pitch for the past season and a half. 5 great games won't secure a move to a better club

You underestimate the power of selective short term memory. Surely one coach out there somewhere will see the 5 good games, decide that is Eddie Johnson's "ceiling" and think to himself "With my brilliant advice he could play like that every day!"
