[ QUOTE ] He wouldn't have had the chance to get these hands if had lost patience and shoved with a pile of crap like so many others have. [/ QUOTE ] Definitely agreed. Cunningham is one of the few who we haven't about any errors or questionable plays from. Another one, if i'm not mistaken, was O'Donnell - too bad the two of them had to clash KK v AA. [/ QUOTE ] What about Wasicka? The guy has been shortstacked seemingly the whole time. Finally, after surviving and being patient he doubles up w/ KK. |

Cunningham is seated to the immediate left of Jamie Gold in the featured table. Let's see what this genuine no limit holdem expert can do with this edge. However, with the risk of going off-topic, "rocks (chips) beats scissors (position)" according to Arnold Snyder, at least.

[ QUOTE ]
Perhaps it just is honesty. I too would love to win because I love to win. I could also use $12m. But I would hate the celebrity part that comes with it. I don't want to be famous. [/ QUOTE ] Joe Hachem said in one of his last interviews that it took him 6 month to get comfortable with his role. And it will be more crazy for this years winner. I agree that it wasn't a good timing from him to talk about those things. But I can understand him and I think it's just his own honest feelings. I can't understand why all people getting over him for this! Every politician gets 100 days to get it running smoothly ... give him the same chance if he wins the whole thing. I prefer this kind of guy more than all those "kids" that get crazy with the millions, thinking they rule the world and being broke a few years later (or something like that). Shadow |

[/ QUOTE ] On day 5 Cunningham got his 25BB stack in pre-flop with KJ. I never did hear how the action went but it seems on the face of it a questionable play. Edited to say day 5, not 4 as originally stated. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think I'd be wetting myself if I was still in right now, thinking of that fact. [/ QUOTE ] I imagine you have to seriously block out any thought of the money right now. Too much to take in. I also think the fact that the cash would not change the lives of players like Gold or Einhorn is a psychological edge for them throughout the entire tournament. It would be much easier to make the decision to risk all your chips for your tournament life if the buy in is not a big deal to you and there's always next year. Even though I could afford to buy in, I wouldn't want to, (preferring to satellite). I figure if I'm not good enough to satellite yet, it's not worth a $10K investment for me to play. It would also be easier to play psychologically if my investment were a grand or so rather than $10K. Guess $10K means something to me, eh? |
