at this point, i assume whoever gets elected is just going to get zurvan killed anyway, so there's no point in talking about it. we have other fish to fry.

this is probably true. I'm just not sure which fish is best to fry yet. I'll get back to you on that one

I have been gone all day, so I apologize for not posting.

I am a little wary of making lists of who we will lynch. Let's say I list Jeremy, IY and Chuckles. If those three are villagers, I have basically given the wolves a risk free choice for the electorate. The best thing is that when I vote for one of them, it is my fault, not the fault of the wolves that elected me. Even though they knew ahead of time that electing me was as good as killing a villager.

If you are going to insist that a candidate make a list on day one, I would suggest that list should have at least five people on it, even if you have no intention of voting for a couple of them.

I am looking at two types of people right now as potential candidates. It makes me a bit queasy when people opt out of the electorate, unless they are like Scott and won't be around at night. If I was a wolf I would have some people avoid being put into the position to make a decision, and I would have others pushing hard to get elected.

I find it much harder to decide with the second group. Good players, both villagers and wolves should be pushing hard to get onto the electorate. I am not sure yet about Shorty, Mdorand and Traz.

I am comfortable with IY, Mets and Fnord. Stephen is making me a bit uneasy, but I haven't come to any decision yet on that point.

So, self-proclaimed great wolf-finder, who else do you want to discuss?

Books, that is an excellent point.

I'm not sure how best to deal with it, though.. clearly we want to vote for people that will vote for those we think are wolves (or those we think can pick wolves better). I think you may be right that we should have a list of 5 or 6 people where 3 of them are basically rand'd.

There are a lot of wolves in this game, and they have a good opportunity to be UTR even while posting.

Furthermore, I really feel you are a villager after this post and I would support you.

Here is my list of people that would die if I were elected. A couple of them are really near the middle of my list.

Bluff
Herbie
Zurvan
Fmxda
Shortline
Soah

Villagers:

Clown
Scott
Fnord (although I am always cautious about that one)
DMK

I wouldn't hate a zurvan lynch, but I'd prefer a dmk lynch; I'd like a FCBL or I81 lynch more.

It looks like we are stuck with StephenH for now; I'll probably be placing my vote to ensure that StephenH is not the leading vote-getter.

I do think that traz and fnord will make good choices for the other 2 electorates.

Books,

The flip side is that if you run on a platform to kill Jeremy, and he comes up villager, then those who voted you can be given the same type of suspicion that we would give those who voted to lynch a villager in a normal game. If you run on a platform to kill one of 5 players, and you lynch a villager, we have nothing but air to work with. I'd rather have some accountability for those running, AND for those doing the voting.
Anyone voting for me knows very clearly how I feel about my lynch candidates. Now they're responsible too if Zurvan turns up villager - I may lead the lynch, but a lot of people voted for it.
