Gotta love Cowher. Wins his first Super Bowl and the scowl returns thirty seconds later when he can't find Holmgren for the post-game handshake.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was hoping someone noticed this.

It's custom for the losing head coach to come out to the center of the stadium to shake hands with the winning one. I am guessing Holmgren decided not to in protest of the officials. His postgame comments should be fun to hear.

I can think of at least 3 plays that Seahawks got jipped on:

Roethlisberger TD
Holding when Stevens caught a pass to get to the 3rd yard line
Hasselbeck illegal hit

[/ QUOTE ]

You know for a fact the BR didn't break the plane of the goal???

You know that the hold wasn't legit just becasue it might not have been blatant.

Maybe the Hasselback tackle was borderline - need to see the rules.

Overall, nothing major against the Seahawks.

It was very ticky tacky, not much of a foul.

I edited to clarify what I meant by the first two comments.

And someone mentioned the offensive pass interference. I can see how that was called, but in the context of all the other calls, it kind of sucks for Seattle.

Oh, and also the initial fumble called on Hasselbeck (though overturned).

The thing is, championship teams find a way to overcome those calls. The number of dropped catchable passes really hurt the Hawks, along with poor time management.

I think that was a game the Hawks could have won, for sure. But they didn't get it done, and they really can't blame it all on the calls.

2006 Super Bowl Review:

Lame pregame hype
Lame pregame show
Lame teams
Lame commentary
Lame commercials
Lame halftime show
Lame officiating
Lame MVP

Worst Super Bowl ever.

[Yes, he was wrong. They obviously had plenty of luck left for the Superbowl. Pittsburgh was decently outplayed.
