Not exactly true. I know a guy who was in Rams camp that year, and he said everyone was on his jock trying to turn him into a receiver but he only started the "not willing to" once it was known by everyone he wasn't going to work out.

FWIW, I believe that last year Sagarin predictor rated Texas very slightly higher than USC. I don't remember the Elo or overall numbers, but I remember thinking, "Wow, Texas +7 seems like a pretty good bet. Is USC really all hype?" I didn't have a sportsbetting account at the time though.
