Thankfully something this bad is so rare, I don't know if I've ever seen a more blatant dive. There's always at least some contact. I'm not a huge fan of instant replay in sports, but giving penalties really should be reviewed.

Edit: Props to the ref for admitting it though.

[/ QUOTE ]I based that statement of the Arsenal-Charlton game. They looked fairly good offensively at stretches, defensively, not so good.

[/ QUOTE ] I think it should be used to review critical fouls. I would not support instant replay being used to stop the game and punish fouls that were not called. For things such as this dive, and the assault on Mendes. Things like that should be reviewed immediately after the call.

Oh, I agree. Basically, if a foul is given in the box and play is stopped, it should be reviewable in my opinion. Stopping play elsewhere just to review the tapes would be bad, but where play is already stopped I don't see why you'd argue against it.

i finally saw the video of the ballboy who scored the goal in that brazilian game last week. single worst officiating error in any sport ive ever seen.

recap: player shoots from outside the box, misses just outside the right post. some little 12 year old ballboy dribbles the ball back into the field of play and taps it into the net. ref sees ball in net and awards goal. insaneeeeeee...
