[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] The size of your PP isn't really important if you play for set value. [/ QUOTE ] The size of your's and your opponnents stack is though. Just a reminder. I like to be sure if I'm calling a 3bet w/ a PP pf. That my opponnents has at least 8,9 times the size of the bet, and that I do as well. [/ QUOTE ] of course the size of your pp is important both you and villain will have sets... very rarely but it'll happen... the bigger your pocket pair, the more often you'll have top set, the more profitable the situation is the reason this has to be considered is that it doesn't happen often, but everytime it happens you'll lose a full stack or more also, don't forget that even if villain stack is big enoug, unless he's a complete retard he may not stack off to you, so villain's tendencies have to be considered too [/ QUOTE ] Good points as well. I'm not advocating that the size of the pair is not important, nor that the tendancies of villain should not be factored in as well. Just that the situation referenced originally is one where I assumed we likely had a pair smaller than our opponnents or else we would be doing the raising ourselves instead of calling to try and flop a set. Sorry if this was unclear, but at least it yielded some more thought on the subject. |

Does anybody know how long it takes Stars to send FPP items? They say 4 to 6 weeks but that doesn't really make sense because they gave me tracking info and it seems like the shipping shouldn't even take a week.

For all the people out there talking about variance, I strongly recommend getting cardrunners videos. They brainwash position, discipline and basic card reading principles so well, I can feel both my variance and winrate greatly improved. This may also be a variance of course, but I am optimistic
I mean I now find strength folding hands like AQs preflop, two pairs, overpairs, straights and be 90% confident I made the right play :-D |
