I contacted support and they told me it runs from sunday to sunday.So today the 9th starts a new week.The meter today is lagging.All rake generated up until today will paid on Monday.

JOEL, I know you're just reporting what CS told you, but I would certainly wonder why the rake meter now reads "Rake Economized Since April 10" which is Monday, if the new week does indeed start today, April 9?

Based on my previous contacts with WPEX CS, I wouldn't make any life-or-death decisions based on what they say. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

They keep the rake for a week so there's some investment income. But of course that's peanuts compared to just keeping the rake.

because fish are stupid and get waaay more excited about getting $200 transfered into their account every week than not noticing they saved $200. "OMG THE MORE I PLAY THE MORE MONEY I GET BACK!!!". Kinda the same way retards get excited when a site raises the rake because now they will be getting more rakeback. I actually think this is much better than just not having a rake.

This happened to me today as well. I was playing at a table with 6 people at it and within a few seconds 4 of the six sat out. Me and the other remaining player played heads up for about 10 hands or so, then all of a sudden the 4 players who were sitting out left one-by-one in a matter of seconds. This is very concerning to me and I will be addressing it with WPEX. I just hope that they have invested in the level of security software required to prevent collaboration.

er - so they can put the accumulated rake money on the money markets until they have to pay it back and make some interest on it?
if their scheme takes off that could be a lot of interest over the year..

I recently downloaded WSEX, deposited, and started playing. All of this was on my PC. Then I went to download the software onto my laptop. When I open the software, it comes up with an error message saying that it was unable to connect to the server.

I have no other problems on that laptop. I can get on the internet, and I can play on other poker sites.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, or know what could be causing it?

They can also keep everyone's deposits (or a large percentage of them) in a money market account, all the sites do this and already make a lot of money off of interest in addition to rake. So they still have interest income but no rake income. I supposed holding the rake for a week just prevents you from withdrawing it earlier, and it also makes it seem like you are getting a free bonus every week (since they obviously won't be able to offer reload bonuses and such without taking any rake).

when it is 6 handed, people will many times sit out close together. it is caused by one person sitting out, and then a couple of more not wanting to play short handed.

Me and the other remaining player played heads up for about 10 hands or so, then all of a sudden the 4 players who were sitting out left one-by-one in a matter of seconds. the players exited the game within seconds because the software dumps them from a table after a certain amount of time or missed blinds. if they sat out at approximately the same time, they will be dumped by software at same time.

these players did not exit game on their own.
