When you get knocked out with someone else on the same hand TM automatically gives you the lower place finish. For example, if you are 3 handed and are 2nd in chips and you and the 3rd stack both get it all in and lose to the leader than TM will record your finish as a 3rd instead of a 2nd.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh that makes sense why it's always lower than it should be. So far I've been just editing a random tourney and adding in the difference for the day/month according to sharkscope. Not sure if there's any way to fix it otherwise.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry guys - almost fixed though along with getting rid of the 5 minute delay for importing from Full Tilt. It has taking me longer than I wanted to get this done but very, very close now.

Also I just played a session and only made like 1k but I'm really happy because I played really really well like I can't think of a single big mistake I made.

tipping at places like this works good. accidently dropped some change on the counter at jimmy johns a block from my place and just told them to keep it. while i was eating my food they rinsed out an empty mayo jar and put it on the counter, and now i don't have to wait in line for food when its late and im on my way home and dont want to be bothered. plus free cookie and drink. well i guess cookie and drink cost whatever the tip is, but its always just whatever change i have coming back.

Oh yeah, for any of you that play cash check this out:

http://www.rvgsoftware.com/

It is a preflop EV calculator for cash games. You plug in your cards, your stack, how much you have already put in, dead money, the villains initial range, the villains all-in range, the villains stack and how much the villain had already put in and it tells you if going all-in is correct.

The example that loads up when you go to the site is based on the villain betting $4, you 3-betting him to $16 and then him pushing. Enter in his push range and you get your $EV.

Some of the results are pretty interesting. Imagine you and the villain both have 100bb's. You raise from the CO and he reraises you.

If this unknown's 3-bet range is say 55+,AJ+,KQs,QJs,JTs,T9s,98s,87s,76s,65s (which would not be out of line for a higher stakes game)

and his range to call a push from you is say
JJ+,AQs+,AKo

Then it is +$ev for you to push with hands as weak as 54s but you would be folding ATo... Of course if he knows that you can push weak hands then his calling range expands so your pushing range decreases and eventually you hit an optimal equilibrium.

It does require you to put a lot of thought into ranges but if you can get a solid understanding of this then preflop push/call situations can becomes very profitable.

To setup this type of scenario enter in:

Line 1: 54s (or any other hand you want to check)
Line 2: 1000
Line 3: 35 (or whatever your initial raise was)

Line 4: 15 (basically just the blinds in this case)

Line 5: 55+,AJ+,KQs,QJs,JTs,T9s,98s,87s,76s,65s
Line 6: JJ+,AQs+,AKo
Line 7: 1000
Line 8: 130 (or whatever he reraised to)

It's free so check it out

All,

I haven't really been keeping up with the deposit / cashout situation that great. But I'm going to Vegas in March and assuming I don't somehow go busto on Stars before I leave, I'd like to cash out 5-10k to take with me.

I have 2 questions, 1) is paper check the easiest / most reliable cashout method right now? and 2) How far ahead of time should I request the check if so?

I'm leaving the last Thursday of March so I have like 7 weeks to get the money from Stars to my hands.

[/ QUOTE ]

From what I've read in the Zoo Stars will Fed-Ex you a paper check which will take a few days from when you request it. Then expect your bank to put a 5-day hold on it until it clears and the funds hit your account. (Some people have said their bank did not put a hold on the check so that might be a policy of each respective bank.)

[/ QUOTE ]

Yep, this is about right.

A week ago Saturday I asked Stars to send me a $1200 check. I got it via FedEx on Friday and took it to my bank. It is showing up as available in my account now. I don't know how that works with the bank and how much more money it has to be before they hold it, but I only had ~ $200 in that bank account before depositing that check.
