Dude, trust me, nobody is more pissed off and let down than me. I was really sure after skimming the Rolen posts and TWP's super-defensive posts that TWP was gonna owe $1000.

Unfortunately, I am all about truth, justice, and righteousness and cannot be swayed by the awesomeness (or in this case lameness) of the resulting decision.

I admit that my posts sounded defensive but that was only because Rolen (and it seemed El Diablo was leaning in this direction as well) was being overly influenced by the seeming completeness of the data mining. I do statistical analysis for a living. Every day, I see people believe the first impression of what data convey without thinking "How do I know it is complete? How do I know it is accurate?" etc. It was for that reason that I was happy with the standard of two identical data sets (which we could then test for completeness) and when I saw that standard coming into question, I did get somewhat upset. In any case, I'm glad that the panel has come to this conclusion. I am still not averse to resolving this bet in one person's favor in the future, but since my only recourse seems to be the HHs from FTP, and since that would only (possibly) be acheivable by g2cu, and since he doesn't seem too interested, I am not going to pursue this any further.

Rolen, if you find more proof at a later date, feel free to bring it to my attention. And thank you for putting the time and effort into analysis, instead of name-calling, etc. which usually characterizes debate on these boards. I hope you also appreciate my efforts at being honest and fair. After all, I'm the one who PMed jcg in the first place. I still believe g2cu's numbers are probably correct, and if we got ALL the HHs they would be proved so, so I am still interested in honest, fair results of the bet. Never did I try to weasel out of anything and I never will do so in the future.

And most importantly, congrats on losing your stars.
