is there really no way to lose doing this? only to break even if steelers lose? [/ QUOTE ] Well, you could lose if you do it wrong. Seems like it could happen to you, considering that you're asking a question like this in a thread where this has probably been answered a hundred times. |

OK, I am an idiot.
Can anyone please calculate how much I need to bet in order to hedge my bet? Miami is at 4.0 with price -110. I am not familiar with this terms, so if anyone could figure out the amount I need to bet I would be gratful. Thanks. |

Don't consider yourself an idiot for being unfamiliar with sports betting...for a lot of people this "free bet" is their first experience as well. To [properly] hedge the bet there is no exact dollar amount required...it all depends on what your goal is (if you want to win the same amount regardless of who wins, etc.). The important thing to remember is you MUST take the same line (if you secured a bet at -5 for PITT, you MUST secure your hedge at +5 for MIA). As for the -110...this is usually called the "cents line" (we generally only see a cents line for US sports) and goes like this:
A positive cents line (i.e. +110) indicates the underdog, thus for every 100 cents you bet, you receive $0.10 plus your bet amount. For example: Place a $500 bet at a cents line of +110 (decimal price of 2.1) Your return would be: ($500 x $1.10) + $500 bet amount = $1050 (= $500 x 2.1) With a 'negative' cents line (i.e. -110), which indicates the favorite, for every 100 cents you wish to win, you lose $0.10. For example: Place a $500 bet at a cents line of -110 (decimal price of 1.9) Your return would be: ($500 X -$0.10) = -$50 ($500 - $50) + $500 bet amount = $950 (= $500 x 1.9) It's a tad more complicated than this simplified version...but hopefully this helps some of you guys to better understand the lingo Good luck! |

says the promo is "returning". does this mean I should lay 1.1k right now? I have to wait untill monday sept. 4th to put the $ in? why is this? [/ QUOTE ] This is opening weekend for college football, meaing they are busy taking tons of bets from all over the world and can't afford to be dealing with this promotion at the same time. So they suspend the promotion for the weekend and then deal with us whores next week. |

So I submitted by ID on Tuesday. Got an automated response a day later saying that they would take 48 hours to review my stuff (not sure what takes so long to review a driver's license) and that they would get back to me to let me know if what I sent was sufficient or not. Anyways it is now Saturday and I have not heard a peep from them. Not a huge deal, but if they are missing their deadline on this, then you do have to wonder abit......

You'll be fine. I'm not sure if you're gonna get an answer but you could ask their live chat if they have approved your ID. I'm sure they are getting so many new accounts now that it might take a little longer.

I got the same email and also never heard back. I did a "test" cashout a few days ago and it went right through. The money was in my neteller account in less than 24 hours.
Don't sweat it. |
