He's much better period then ANYONE on our team. Imagine if Nash wasn't there for the Suns or Shaq for the Heat. He's by far our best player especially when everyone e/c Martin who would be considered v. good (Brad and Bibby) have been less than stellar due to injuries.
I think what he's saying is Artest takes bad shots. This is DEFINITELY true. He's best playing inside. He's only shooting 39% from the field this year but his effect on the O and the D are very apparent if you watch the games. |

[/ QUOTE ] Specify, are you saying he effects the offense positively or negatively when he is out there? I think with someone like Artest you could easily argue his defense has a positive effect on the teams offense. Look at the comparison on the link I posted. +8.5 is a huge point differential. Whats even more crazier is effective FG% is lower when he is out, and effective FG% allowed is much higher when he is out. Somehow his presence out there is helping his team offensively. I noticed they get more rebounds(especially offensive) when he is out there. Also, the 3 steals per game is likely leading to more fast break points. This is all very very odd when you look at his FG%, but his poor 3pt shooting has to have a big effect on his FG%. He is averaging 4 3PTA a game. |

Our replacement players for him aren't very good. If they were then his impact might be much smaller. He also get's doubled teammed probally the most of any player on our team. He does have bad shot selection, that's about his only problem when on the court.

Basically, you're right, I was saying he takes bad shots. He's a streak shooter when it comes to the long ball. When he gets going he can be a real threat. He's so big and strong, though, that he should be banging down low. He can also penetrate and pass pretty well. I just think he's a waste popping Js outside of 17 feet.
I need to go see a Kings game this year. I think the Celts come through in February. |

With the current roster it's going to be tough for the Kings to compete in the very tough west. Of the players we have the only ones I'm really excited about are Ron and Kevin. The rest of the team for the most part is blah. Brad is blah defensively, same with Bibby who is also bad shooting this year. Those 2 have both been injured. I like SAR and Kenny is decent but nothing special. I'm also not a huge fan of Salmons but we messed up with the whole Bonzi situation. His dumb @ss isn't even playing that much b/c he's out of shape.
In the coming years we should be able to get rid of some of the "pieces" we got for Webber, finally other than Kenny (I guess Scoreless Corliss is the only one left). If we do so, and keep Ron and Kevin, I think we can compete with a couple more small pieces. The Kings need a healthy Bibby and someone inside who they will need to get from the draft or FA. The team isn't that old in the core pieces, but could definitely use some work. As you mentioned earlier, Ron needs to cool it with the 3 pointers, he's not a shooter. But if that's the worst thing he does, so be it. |

He's obviously not happy with the offseason scenario that went down. Disappointing as a Kings fan for him to do what he did and for him to come back out of shape. Supposedly he's on the block.

Bob,
If I were to use a scale from 1-10, I would say that BaD radio's best moments are a 10 but their worst moments are near the bottom of that scale. The hardline stays at an 8/9 at all times and never really veers away from this range. I like them both and for different reasons. You are correct like Donovan. |

ugh.. the end of Celtics / Grizzlies game was extremely exciting, but another L. Why Bassy went up with that shot with 2.4 ticks remaining is beyond me. He could've easily pump-faked to get a better look or draw a foul.
Gerald Green looked great though. Mighty Mouse.... rough game. |
